Or you can go to the iCloud website. Click on your name -> Advanced -> Reset Photo Stream.

If your referring to 5.0 as the "good firmware" then that goes for all iDevice users actually, people still can downgrade back to iOS4 on the older iDevices but not to 5.0 when they have already updated to 5.0.1.

'Kill' the application referrers to opening up the multitasking bar and then deleting the icon from there to stop the app from running in the background.

Same problem happened with me while upgrading to iOS 5.... i just rebooted the iPhone and that fixed it.... I don't know why people panic on such a small issue...

My 3gs will shut down randomly after upgraded to ios5. It's still not solved in 5.01.I want to revert it back to 4.3.5 but not susscess. Any hints for me? Please email me any methods. Thanks

I've tried all of the suggested fixes above and in the comments except for resetting my phone and nothing has worked. My messages are messed up in the most bizarre way, just the way it was described above and I have no idea what else to try. Suggestions?

My contacts got messed up after the upgrade. I followed the fix as directed and all is well now. It worked perfectly. Thanks!

I sync contacts with 3 different sources. Not sure what happend in my case - could be that in troubleshooting my wife's iPhone 4 on 5.0.1 and swapping the SIMs caused it. But many of my contacts were linked to each other (different names) so there was some confusing info there that caused Siri and "caller ID" to go nuts. I ended up manually fixing them. It took a while with over 300 contacts and what seemed like a good portion of them messed up.

I updated to ios 5.0.1 last 2 weeks. The battery life seems to be improved for the 1st week then chaotic the week after. I need to bring the external charger along most of the time which is really really annoying! Other than the battery life issue, everything turns out to be great.

I have this problem and have tried killing those 3 apps, wait three minutes, turn back on...still the same. Then I did the kill the messages app, turn phone off and back on, still nothing. Any other suggestions? Brand new iPhone 4s that I've had less than a week. (Verizon)

I agree with you Mamdouh, I did the same too .. but I faced another problem in the messages where I have 2 messages from the same person one with +xxx code & the other messages without the country code!!!!Hope Apple fix this problem quickly .. I am already updated to IOS 5.0.1

It doesn't delete anything when you do this workaround does it? I'm having the amnesia problem and I would do this to fix it but I don't want it to delete anything.
