UK's Chief Rabbi Blames Steve Jobs And Apple For Creating "Egocentric Culture"

While some good points were made here, especially about people being responsible for their own decisions in life, the rabbi was merely pointing out the spiritual bleakness of life in a consumer-driven society. While he did mention Apple, I think that people's fixation on things like iPhones is a symptom of the problem rather than Apple or Steve Jobs being the cause. Still, it's always amusing to watch the iFanboys fall all over themselves to lash out at anyone who dares criticize Apple or Steve Jobs. Trying to discuss Apple's flaws (and there are many) with them is probably simar to discussing the shortcomings of communism with the leader of North Korea.

The rabbi says that spending time with your family will bring happiness. I say spending time with my iPhone will bring a whole lot more happiness.
