Earlier in the week, iOS hacker pod2G revealed demoed an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 on third generation iPod touch. He then confirmed that the untethered jailbreak also works on iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1.
In a series of updates on his blog, pod2G has confirmed that the untethered jailbreak also works with other iOS devices.
He has confirmed that the untethered jailbreak works with following iOS devices on iOS 5.0.1:

Great that he done almost everything.. To bad Pod2g let's the people wait.. Why doesn't herelease it for us all the IOS devices?! And takes his time to do the Ipad2 and 4S? Just make some people happy.. I understand people who lost patience for this. It's taking to long that it isn't funny anymore.

Guys, I don't know why some ppl are still moaning about how long its taking to release this JB, you should be grateful that someone is spending their time working hard (mostly for free) to get these devices jailbroken for everyone to useThey don't have to do this, and i'm sure if ppl keep moaning then it will possibly put them off working on solutions in the futureBE PATIENT PPL!

You guys are doing all it takes to make pod2G leave the JB community and then you'll complain again !!!Releasing a software is nothing simple to do. Even harder when you are working without support from the maker of the device/softwareIf there is a huge bug in the Jailbreak you will also be the first to bash him again for being loose on the QASo be either fu--ing patient , do it yourself if you are so smart or buy an android phone if you are so stuck with the originl iPhone you have.....Keep on the good work Pod2g, that all the time you need !!!!

To all the people bitching about an ETA, 4S and iPad2 compatibility, unlock, etc...STFU!Guys like Pod2g are taking their own time to find bugs, work them into jailbreaks then package them in a easy to use interface for morons like you who don't have the slightest clue as to how to do it.Either be patient and grateful for the release if it comes or learn to sort through code and do your own jailbreaks if you think it is so easy.

For Odin's sake, someone give this man an iPhone 4S! I'd lend him mine, but I am unfortunately not from France... As for the idiots flaming pod2g for not releasing the JB, I suggest you crawl into a cave and die, preferably painfully. He'll release it when it's ready, and definitely not before 5.1. Or would you like him to release it full of bugs and prior to 5.1, so that Apple can simply patch it up? I suggest you stay silent and leave the thinking and talking to people whose IQ exceeds that of the average brick.
