They're waiting on the 5.1 to come out... At least that's what I'm thinking. Don't wanna give away an exploit when a newer version is fixing to be released (beta). But maybe apple is waiting to release 5.1 until the JB comes out on 5.0.1. HAHA! around and around we goThis is all speculation by the way

I dunno. Could he just release the untethered jb for A4 chips without waiting for tethered/untethered jb for A5 chips? I mean, they are different mechanism anyway.If you are afraid to release it because of 5.1 is on the corner, well it would be endless. Apple will surely announce 5.2 after 5.1 is released. After all, 4.3.4 and 4.3.5 has no untethered JB because iOS hackers claimed that they already found the exploit and was "saving it for 5.0" at the time (now we know they never had the UJB).Besides that means Apple can stop jailbreaking by just "announcing the next update", and hacker will always "don't UJB this version, save it for the next one" forever.

How come ipad2 with A5 could be JB but iphone 4S with A5 can't? Any way to downgrade iphone to 4.3.3? Seriously, I would gladly give up 5.01 for a JB!

Why can't they just release the untethered jailbreak for all the devices except for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2? I have a iPod touch 4G on iOS 4.3.3 and I'm still wating for the untethered for iOS 5!

it will reveal the exploit and apple will patch it on the 4s and ipad 2. If he checksit NOW and releases it LATER, it may work, which would end up being a good use of an exploit.

Does not add up. If he releases UJB only for A4 5.0.1 now or releases UJB for A4 5.0.1 and A5 5.0.1 now, Apple is still gonna patch it in 5.1 or 5.2 later anyway. That is the whole game of JB. You have to find a new exploit for the next version everytime you've released a JB.Besides, no guarantee that Apple couldn't find the exploit themselves before the JB is released.
