It's nice to be able to try apps before buying them. This is obviously an app i would invest in if it's good and i can i can use it. Because to lose it every time a new iOS came out wouldn't work but still good to be able to try it before buying it. Otherwise that's money spent for no reason at all!

Like many said, just download iPhoto latest version from ****, install it then install the iPhoto501Fix found on Cydia. Works with my iPhone 4 and iPad2.But when you say, follow the same steps for iMovie, where is the iMovie501Fix? Unless iPhoto501Fix works with iMovie too?

confirmed, People who have bought the app from app store have more trouble installing it and getting it working than the people who have downloaded it from Install0us as it removes some of the checks :)

This worked great, but instead of getting iFile I just used iPhoneBrowser on my PC and edited the file that way.

Any reason you couldn't buy the app in iTunes/another device that's running 5.1, then use **** to install your paid-for IPA on 5.0.1?No?Then get off your high horse. The issues are orthagonal.

it is working. Respiring will not do it you have to reboot and it will be installed and the 501 fix from Cydia will do the rest.Both iphoto and iMovie are working in both my iPhone 4S and iPad 2

If u can't find Iphoto501fix on cydia, try to refresh the cydia source from Refresh button and wait to finish.try to find again

Wonder if this method of installing iphoto works for IOS 4.3.3 on my Ipad1. I missed updating my IOS to 5.01.

Some iMovie feature not work properly on iOS 5.0.1...try making SCary trailer, some scene will appear only blank when you export to camera roll...but not on IOS 5.1...

I have succesfully installed iPhoto following the tutorial. I undid the system version change using iFile (back to 5.01). On reboot I get the message too new version. Also I now experience an error whenever I try to update/install apps, cannot connect to itunes store. Tried to uninstall iPhoto501fix. Unistalled iphoto. No luck so far. Anyone ideas? Thanks

I was able to find Iphoto501fix on cydia; however when I try to install it. it says "Host Unreachable" i also tried to respring my iPhone several times and restart it but no luck.

Then you need to change the systemversion.plist back to 5.0.1.
