Im having a problem. I was one of the people that upgraded by accident to firmware 2.0 on the first day of the official firmware release.Whe i create my custom ipsw file it works all fine and well and so does ipwnr. But when i restore to the custom firmware i get errors 1600,1601,and 1602. Ive uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it. What am i doing wrong?

hahaha, got stock on the first step! I can't select the ipsw builder on the screen, do I need to download/install that separately? Nothing mentioned here though!

this DFU mode you speak of...my Sleep/Awake button doesn't work all the time, so this is a big problem for me. Would later updates to WinPwn or something like iLiberty let me just skip setting the phone into DFU mode manually? because i'm not sure if i even can.

It appears that the tool is not very stable, so I would recommend that you wait for some positive feedback before using it or use the workaround which many readers seem to have found useful:

Go to www.devteam.webs.com and download the firmware you need for your iphone. Then go back to winpwn and browse for that firmware and it should recognize your phone. Then follow this guide step for step and youll be fine. I screwed up on my first try and I just restored it and its fine.

WinPwn 2.0.0.2 was just released!!! That might fix some problems.

After 2 weeks I can finally use my iphone 2g with 2.0. WinPwn 2.0.0.2 worked great. Although with WinPwn 2.0.0.1 I did run into some errors like the #6, that was fixed with the latest WinPwn 2.0.0.2.

I just finished jailbreaking my phone, it took me a little over 1 hr, and for the most part it went well. I followed the guide and I got a little confused with the step to get itunes Pwnd; I believe the screen shot is in the wrong place. Other than that, I got an error with the BootNeuter, but I ignored it and there it was. My phone is now Jailbroken with the Cydia icon... As a side note, most of the applications found in the "Installer" are not available yet, so don't expect to have all customizations, games, and apps you used to have right away... GREAT WORK!!

my iPhone is now working perfectly......although it didn't flash the baseband for some reason but its working just fine.

It is wonderfull and great. Well done iPhone Dev Team. I have MAC and Windows both. ipsw file was created quite easily but i was having trouble restoring using i tunes. tranferred my file to PC and it was restored wihtout a problem.I have found a link to download applications for iphone. (paid). although there is a method to install them but those wont install. Any one knows how to do it... please share.

I have been waiting for WinPwn now for awhile and am excited to see it released, but when it loads the images fail to DL and the only buttons lit up are Browse for IPSW and Help. Do I need to DL a IPSW first and store it? Or is there something wrong either with my copy or with what I am doing?
