Video of Absinthe 2.0 - iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak [Updated]
Hot on the heels of pod2g confirming that the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak is almost ready and the release is just "matter of days" away, iOS hacker - xvolks has published a video of iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak in action.
The video reveals that the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch will be called Absinthe 2.0.
The jailbreak dream team had first released Absinthe jailbreak for iOS 5/iOS 5.0.1 back in January.

iPad 3 Global is the GSM model. 4G = LTE; which is used in both the CDMA and GSM model. So, it depends which 4G you're getting.

When 5.0/01 was first jail broke absinthe was first realised on the mac gutted and pissed off I just did the cmd on my windows, however it was harder to do so a week later I prepared my self and bought my self a mac so now i don't care whitch device it's released on XD

If i have a 3GS and with Ipad basband 06.15.00. How can i install IOS5.1.1 before i can jailbreak with Absinthe 2.0? Hope Redsnow will release a new version or something.

If u have a iPhone 3GS on 06.15.00 just update with redsnow no bb upgrade I think it will do the trick

How do I suppose to kno if I m at ipad3 global? I m not frm the US, and since the ipad3 4g is only for the US, does it mean the ipad3 out here is iPad global?

Any iPad 3 that takes a sim card is "global". They are all 4g capable, dont know who told you 4g is only US.

@cydiahelpsux, I think Bryan was using the term 4G and LTE. LTE is available globally however the 3rd gen iPad can't connect to an LTE network outside the US.

If it's a 16GB wifi iPad 2 that you bought new after the iPad3 hit street, it's the iPad2v2.If it's >16GB, or has cellular data, it's an iPad2v1.Otherwise, I'm not sure if there's a good way to tell. Apple calls it an iPad 2,4 instead of an iPad 2,1; if you updated it using iTunes, the downloaded firmware file will have 2,4 in the filename instead of 2,1 . The model number in settings-->about should distinguish it, but there doesn't seem to be a list of them anywhere.Incidentally, the 2v2 has the longest battery life of any iPad, over a third longer than the iPad 3.

You dont need to jailbreak, just upgrade using latest redsnow with the NO_BB option.
