The CDMA version does not use a SIM card, all others do.

You mean use Redsn0w 0.9.11b4 to great NO_BB and install it.And at first it will be tethered 5..1. then use jailbreak with Absinthe 2.0 to get untethered .Is that you mean?

you can do it that way, or wait until absinthe 2.0 is released, then use redsnow to make a custom IPSW with NO-BB then use that IPSW with absinthe for the untethered JB

Ah no sorry mate to clarify there is 3 versions of the iPad 3... The first is the wifi only and it is going to be able to be jailbroken with absinthe 2.0... The second is the iPad wifi+CDMA 4G/LTE connectivity- this ipad doesn't have the sim card slot but has connectivity and will be able to be jailbroken with absinthe 2.0 as well... The last version is the iPad wifi+GSM 4G/LTE or whats known in some countries as the cellular model. I personally have this iPad (AUS). it will NOT be able to be jailbroken with absinthe 2.0 at this current stage. This is the iPad model the team refer to as the 'Global' model as GSM technology is most popular for global carriersHope this clarifies some things! Ps great work team !!

Hi Umar update your phone to 5.1.1 then use ABsinthe 2.0 when it comes available it should work fine matey !!!

Wtf are you on about? Where does it say that iPad 3 cellular can't be JB? It will work with absinthe 2.0, it just hasn't,t been confirmed yet. The only device that it won't work with is ATV3. Get your facts straight before giving the wrong advice to novice users.

i have an iphone 3gs with a running version ios 4.1. I am willing to upgrade to ios 5.1.1 with an untethered jailbreak. I just dont know where to get the ipsw for my iphone and which ipsw is suitable for my iphone. Can anyone please help me with that???
