PEOPLE...... SIRI BEING OMITTED FROM OLDER DEVICES HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DEVICE, BUT EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE BANDWIDTH OF REQUESTS TO THE SIRI SERVERS APPLE HAS TO DEAL WITH. Don't you guys understand how this works? Voice to text on Android or iOS has very little to do with your device. Nearly all the processing is done on servers in the cloud. That's why on either platform, if you don't have a data connection, you get no speech-to-text type services, get it? So quit talking about the iPhone 4 being hacked and doing Siri, this has nothing to do with the iPhone 4. It's Apple not having enough server farms to properly handle all the millions of Siri requests coming in, at least at this stage since Siri is in Beta! They are limiting usage of this service by keeping it only on two devices, the 4S and in the fall, the new iPad. And the comments about Apple forcing you to buy a new device to make more money are laughable. Compared to who? How many software upgrades did you get with your Android device? Those phones are end-of-life after a year most of the time, meanwhile Apple is still supporting, even if in a limited way, a 3 year old iPhone 3GS. Apple is by far the best example of customer support and NOT forcing you to buy new devices. If they wanted to do that, they simply would not upgrade previous generations devices at all.

I think the biggest ommision is the entire lack of iOS for the original iPad. After the big to do about Accessibility for single app operation is not available. The most common use for the original iPad would be for store/display use or handed down to the little ones for educational purposes
