I need major help..i Jailbroke, Activated, Unlocked my iPhone 2G(1st Generation) using redsn0w..but while doing it i forgot to select cydia..so is there a way i can install cydia other than running redsn0w again?

I just got it to work. I was using the iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore ispw at first and it waited to reboot, then I tried it with the iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore ispw and it worked.
I'm not sure what the difference is between them. -
wonder what makes the 3G S unjailbreakable. Using the same firmware 3.0 as the update right? Great phone though very fast and responsive!

Apptbackup did not work at all sadly. So all jailbreak apps had to go back by hand

Hi,
I was able to unlock and jailbreak my 2g with redsn0w. I installed winterboard and now my iphone wont boot up. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem?

Nope. & redsnow does not allow you to choose to install it, it does it by default now.

If you have an unlockable 3g, which does not work with yellowsnow, can i use redsnow to unlock my 3g.

using imac g5 ppc. redsnow just shuts down after i select the ipsw..??

ok i don't know if i passed the answer to this question, will all my old 2.2.1 cydia jailbroken apps work on 3.0? it seems eveyone is so eager to upgrade.

For those with a 2g iphone that is getting hung up on the reboot screen the reason is the wrong ipsw. You can get the correct one here.

i have bought an iPhone 3G from USA and i live in egypt so it came with turbo sim and jailbreaken and now i need to update to 3.0 OS do i need to wait untill dev-team release ultrasnow. my carrier is Vodafone and it is one of the supported carrier and distributer for Apple iPhone in Egypt. so should i wait or it is ok to update?

I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I have a 3G phone locked to AT&T. I am currently in Europe and will be here for the next couple of months. I want to JB and Unlock as soon as UltraSn0w comes out. I have my original Sim card here. Do I JB it with the original sim even though there is no AT&T network here for activation? Does the activation need to contact AT&T? I'm just not sure how this part of it works.

what if your 1st gen iPhone is ALREADY jailbroken? should i still use this Redsn0w? and my other question is, even though my phone is already jailbroken, and when i plug it in to my computer and then itunes asks me to update to 3.0, will i lose anything if i update it?

Thanks for this, everything works perfectly on my new iPhone 3G. Didn't know Cydia had so much to offer. I mainly wanted to hide unused apps and display a background behind them and it was all accomplished in a matter of minutes.
