Apple has released iPhone OS 3.0 (Build 7A341) just as they had announced at WWDC 2009 Keynote address. Apple had given us a preview of their generation iPhone OS at a special event in March which has more than 100 new features. iPhone OS 3.0 is now available via iTunes....

I am assuming not since the release versions are the same. But would like a confirmation as well.

The build number of the final version seems to be the same as the GM version so ideally it is not required.

So the whole time the GM version was it? Man that makes me even more mad because this thing is kinda boring. I cant tell the difference tween 2.2.1 ans this when it comes to performance and stability honestly.

THe Battery does not show the percentage like they said it would. Anyone else have this issue? ALso, I dont see the compass. Is this only on 3gs?

I hate Apple dude. I downloaded 3.0 3 times because i got error 1603 and error 2002 making my iphone going into dfu mode. Im restoring right now and hopefully i can get what i have been waiting for forever!

Says network connection problem. How can it be a network problem if my internet is working find and it comes up at the END of the download.

Craig, i have the battery precentage right by the battery, but i have problem with bluetooth, i can't find any other mobile phone nor can other phones find my iphone.
And people please tell me, wasn't video recording supposed be in the os 3.0?

i installed this bout an hr ago ..works all well an all ..bluetooth function is nice, landscape keyboard is great.. copy and paste seems ok too ,,waiting for the tethering now :) come on friday lol :D

Damn, in the excitement I forgot to reset all my hidden apps to be seen. Do I need to downgrade, then jailbreak, correct error then re-upgrade?

The bluetooth only works with headsets and other iphones , not with other types of phones (that's what I understood from what I read online, I'll try it later at home after I will run the update). And yes video recording is available on this version, it should be the same icon as the camera before.

you will not need turbo sim anymore, ultrasn0w is released on friday thru cydia and it will soft unlock the iphone for all gsm carriers. Check the dev team website.

To be honest, I have the exact problem right now my network is being stupid as well. Im gonna restart my comp and see what happens.

even if you go back they will still be hidden. Wait for the 3.0 jailbreak and use Diskaid to acces the root folder and delete the home screen icons playlist and reboot phone. This will bring back all your hidden icons. Or use SB settings or Boss prefs to show hidden icons

If you created a backup before the update then your sms are still on the computer , just sync the phone using the old profile.

if you are having problems updating i believe it is cause the serve at apple is overloaded. keep trying my phone is now updating after a dozen times trying
