Don't think it should be an issue as iPhone 4 is still available for pre-order on Apple's website with delivery date as June 24. It might be a good idea to check if you have reserved one at an AT&T store.

When I use the Apple app to connect to Att to check my upgrade it says that it can not be processed at this time. If I go to store.apple.com when I check my upgrade it still freezes up. So I'm blown away to see that people are getting through and I can not. Is it just people who are getting upgrades having the issues or what?

Went to ATT because I could not order online and they told me the 25th they would call me. So I went over and ordered at Bestbuy. Said they would call me and make an appointment for me to come in and get it. Said they did not wnat every one to stand in line waiting. I think that is a good idea to do it that way.

Oh this sucks I got my order in at 1:33 PM and engaget says anyone who ordered after 1:30 PM will have to wait to receive there phone between June 25th and July 5th.

YESSSSS!!! After a million attempts on the apple site, at&t's site, and the apple store app...my order finally went through! Will be receiving a 32GB for me and a 16GB for the wifey!

Hmm, have been trying since 7am PST, to no avail.
Decided to try Safari for the heck of it (use Firefox as often as I can), and my order actually went through the first time I tried...
Total coincidence I'm sure, but pretty damn funny. Lists 24th delivery... as of 5:30pm PST (6/15).

Still no luck on my end... Have tried all three purchase locations and have even called apple directly. Apple phone support is now closed and you get disconnected from the call.
I will try again later tonight.

He has to pay the 199 or 299 PLUS the 18 for the upgrade. If you were a new AT&T customer you probably would have avoided that fee.

Try to order it from Apple's Online store. We seem to be getting reports and feedback from our wonderful readers that things are better now and they have managed to successfully pre-order their iPhone.

I ordered mine at the AT&T store at 12:15 pm Pacific. My confirmation email said that there was a "slight chance" that I wouldn't get mine on the 24th. I read that 1:30 pm was the cutoff time so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I waited in line for about 30 minutes at the store. Their computers were running really slow but there was a lot of staff there and they were all helpful and cheerful.

Meant to add: They said that people who pre-ordered would get priority over people who are there to buy on the 24th.

First part = correct. Second part, not exactly. If they were new, they'd pay $36 activation instead of $18 upgrade.

I'm getting further than I was earlier this morning. I am getting past the AT&T verfication site. And when I get to the add cart screen I click add to Cart and I get an error saying session has time out or expired...
Must be gods way of telling me to wait for the white one...

Damn, I have to pay full price cause in still 1 year into my 2 yes contract. AT&T rep told me to open another line so o can get the iPhone for 199, if not pay 499.
I can pay 399 if I wait till Jan 24th when it comes out. -
Since this afternoon i received this messegge in the ATT site.
"There was a problem with your request.
P1015: We're sorry, but we are experiencing a system error that prevents us from completing your request. For non iPhone related upgrades, please call Customer Care at 1-888-867-4384 and provide the error number at the beginning of this message."I think they stop taking order or the site crash....

Wow this says alot about apple, first they can't make white iPhones for launch day and now AT&T don't have enough black iPhones. Something tells me apple can't handle making iPhones every year. This is not looking good for apple.

Damn, hater. First of all, it was announced a while ago that there wouldn't be any white phones at launch. Secondly, how anyone can construe selling millions of phones in the first few hours of launch is "not looking good for apple(sic)" is beyond me.
