If I have an iPhone 4 running 4.0.1 that is already jailbroken (via JailbreakMe) can I just upgrade to 4.1 and then use Limera1n to rejailbreak or do I need to uninstall all my Cydia apps and then upgrade to 4.1? I would think I could just upgrade to 4.1 with my phone still having all the jailbroken apps on it because 4.1 would wipe them all anyway, but just wanted to be sure.
Any insight would be much appreciated!

worked perfect!! the only thing was i deleted the l1merain app before i installed cydia on accident, so i had to re-jailbreak it to get the app back. so make sure to install cydia before deleting l1merain. now i just have to fix my phone back to how it was.

yeah that's what i did. i updated to 4.1 and itunes deleted every thing. then i jailbroke my iphone and basically started over kinda sucks but its all good.

anybody else having problems with rotation to landscape? all my apps will stay in portrait view and not rotate to landscape since the limera1n jailbreak.

Did u set the rotate lock function on by accident? Press home key twice and look for circular arrow icon...

Worked like a charm...having no problem at all in jailbreaking iOS 4.1. I checked my iphone4's firmware after jailbreaking and apparently the firmware was downgraded from 5.13.x to 2.10.04.

I did everything as mentioned here, i am running limera1n, it completes the expoit and then when i restart the phone,there is no limera1n installed... please help

So if I Jailbreak the 4.0.2 iPhone via limera1n I still can't get the phone unlocked yet? Or can I use Ultrasn0w unlock after this jailbreak?

You should back up your iphone via tiny umbrella and just upgrade to 4.1, but YOU won't be able to unlock your phone

I think it should arrive any time soon, because i've been waiting for unlock on my iPhone 4 for more than 2 months
