apple gone release 4.3 within a week, so whats the point of releasing it now. also it would have been better if the they release a jail-breaking software which could make a custom IPA so we could preserve our base-band for unlock.

Doesn't Detect DFU on the iPhone 3G. Used Redsn0w 0.9.6rc8. Worked fine. Greenpois0n great for all others.

hey... will it work on firmware 6.15.00? When I upgraded to 4.2.1 I had to use tethered jb and download 6.15.00 to be able to use my phone. I am with T-Mobile so this was the only solution. I really want an untethered jb due to the fact I have to do the redsn0w procedure everytime I reboot.

Didn't ever detect DFU on my iPhone 3G .:| Aynone got any suggestions?

All is well except ibooks will not open my purchase book but free one do. Is this a known issue?

RTFM. The Readme does NOT list iPhone 3G. Can't always trust that sites like this will get their article titles right ... nor bother to check the blogs to realize they need to update. Too bad, cuz 4.2.1 is the LAST release for our 3G.

Thanks Chronic Dev for all your hard work in keeping us all unchained. I have used this greenpoison for windows for iphone 4 and ipod touch. But I seem to have difficulty with my wife's iphone 3G. I have tried for 2 days to go to DFU but unable to do it. I followed the steps religiously but to no avail. Please help. Again thanks

Thanks. I got 3gs previously JB by redsnow 6b5. I was scared to JB with GP rc5 due to no one is doing it. I read ilocano's comment and tried it. Now, my 3gs ipad baseband 6.15.00working untethered. I didnt fresh restore but used redsn0w to enter dfu. After that i used GP rc5. At first JB failed and retry again. Animated GP logo came out and JB complete and unlocked. Didnt see uploader when iphone opens but cydia is there already and so as my apps music contcts etc.
