Siri Not Working For Some iPhone 4S Users [Updated]
We're seeing a number of iPhone 4S users complaining on Twitter that they are facing problems with Siri - iPhone 4S' intelligent personal assistant feature.
The problems with Siri follows news that the feature, which is exclusively available on iPhone 4S, has been successfully ported to iPhone 4.
CNET has also confirmed the problem. It reports:

I've had no problems getting responses from SIRI. The problem I have is it misunderstanding me and calling random people from my contact list before asking. Annoying.

I still haven't been able to use Siri, "having problems connecting to network"

Do a restart in your from under settings .it will leave your apps on there and Siri will be working back fine.

When Siri works she is amazing but I 2 have been having the connection problem since I opened it. I found a reboot is a temp fix but once she can't connect she won't! Love love love this phone. C'mon apple servers step it up. I sure hope it isn't cause of the Siri port to iPhone 4. Or else Siri is dead walking.

I have also been having this problem. It wouldn't connect to the network until a few minutes ago. To get it working, I went into settings and disabled Siri. I then restarted my iPhone, went back into settings and reenabled Siri. It worked immediately after that. Good luck all and have fun looking weird having convos with your phones! :)

I had problem in the beginning but couple restarts and a factory reset solved the issue. iPhone 4S AT&T if that helps.

Works perfectly at my house but at my friends house we get the cannot connect to network issue frequently. I was suspecting it might be Verizon DNS caching or router MTU size configuration issue.

im begining to think..if apple will just end up releasing it on iphone4 as it may be a trial rester to see if servers could hack a full load and thus called the new iphone4s hoping a handful of ppl would buy it in this instance ..im on pre order just thinking if i should cancel?

This happen to me 2 times but didnt really last long....a minute or so and it worked again

i'm kinda concerned that the iphone is making heavier use of data bandwidth, what with icloud etc. i can't help but think users are gonna be stung by the networks who have been restructuring their data price plans of late and not in the customers favour.

It must be Siri's time of the month...Sorry i couldn't resist. Besides i'm getting fed up with reading people refer to Siri as "Her". It's a bloody piece of software. Lol

Still having problems today...fix worked last night but this morn when I tried it out again, it was having the same network issue. It can't be network as both wifi and 3G work great for all other stuff ( e.g., Internet). Grrr...

My 4 has the Siri app installed. It's worked well over the last few months and now has stopped completely. Nice Apple. I'm not in a hurry to upgrade but I still have to put up with your BS.

Yes, Siri keeps calling random people when I am asking it to text or dictate or check weather. People that have no similarity in any word I am saying. It does not even prompt before it dials, it just dials. Another issue I had this morning is that it would not respond to me at all, no network error message, just nothing.

Well, we refer to boats and cars as her and they don't even talk. So why not a talking phone or GPS.
