Chronic Dev Team: Bug Found In iOS 5 That Could Bring Untethered Jailbreak
Comments

I agree with paradox, if you can't wait for chronic-dev to make a public jailbreak (and there doing the best they can, but they do have lives as well), learn to hack. It took my about 3 hours to get my iPod touch 4g untethered on iOS 5 without using the anykind of tethered jailbreak beforehand. I mean guys, either wait for chronic-dev (and make it worth there while), or do it yourself.
-
Yahoo!! It's about %}^}{en time!!
-
thank you sir
-
Actually, cant really wait when this will happen. Waiting waiting and waiting.
-
"Many of us maybe would be able to make 56 steps for instance with 5 different tools needed to jailbreak a device,"Well, then do it. What are you waiting for.
-
Well, how hard could it be, if like 17year old kids are doing some of this stuff?I have no interest at all in trying to figure it out...but could it really be that difficult, if you know what you're looking for? Sit me down show me and five minutes I'll have an untethered break. (haha)
-
WILL BE RELEASED ON ------ 11/11/11 @ 11 O'clock 11 minutes 11 seconds [ 11/11/11 @ 11:11:11 ] yahooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I could put the jet together as long as all the parts where there
-
So programmers are getting rejected by apple for their programs and now the programmers are getting at consumers. Somebody got to pay right? But it always the consumer.
-
Can I jailbreak my iPad 2 with os 5.0?
-
А откуда информация, что джеилбрейк выйдет именно 11 числа???
-
Untethered is just not going to happen, get over it... apple has them beat!
-
Gotta love Chronic Dev Team I just wait and look for the skull logo and then I know things are getting close to perfect for the time to jailbreak the next iOS.
-
Good news but waited too long already.....Thanks a lot w LOLs..
-
I don't see any reason for Apple to keep their devices in "Jail". It's a cheap excuse of the Apple programers lamership, unable to create a proper protection of user data for thier devices. Putting a lot of trash before the door instead of setting a proper lock - this is the Apple style.Viva Android!
-
Can anybody told me about release jailbreak ipad 2 os5 ????Is it 11/11/11 ???Sorry for my English. I am from Russia...
-
The issue with trying to find an untethered jailbreak is that every time they update the device, they keep on patching all of the exploits that were previously used. Now that we have 5th and 6th generation iPods and iOS 5.0, there has been plenty of time for apple to perfect their trade. For all of the people on the Chronic Dev Team, it is extremely hard to find a jailbreak that has not been patched. They are also dealing with apple, which includes some of the top software developers in the world. It is a hard task, and I completely respect them. I still am amazed that jailbreaks are still being released to tell you the truth. :)

Pod2g left chronic close to two years ago, he aint with chronic no more... get your facts right
-
pod2g left chronic for personal reasons a while ago.
-
Maybe you know something that they don't. There could be 10 exploits, but only one is needed to get the job done. And why do they have to lie about anything? Are you paying them?
-
Nobody knows, but the work is in progress. Just relax and enjoy drinking your Vodka. Who knows what comes out from these /32 bits.
-
In Russia many other different drinks except vodka. If Mendeleyev has thought up this drink it doesn't say that in Russia drink only it...And even I can recommend to you to drink the whisky...
-
i think there is a special and private exploit for the hackers and the untethered jailbreak already covered by the hackers i think they dont want to release untether because they scare the exploits were blocked on the next update of firmware because when the exploit not public so the apple cant find the bug and they had a untetherd jailbreak forever so they mock us with untethered jailbreak will release soon
-
I agree with paradox, J-God is an a$$
-
Do you remember the guy who created the "jailbreakme.com"? He is working for Apple now, so either the green guys break it or he will patch it. This is a cat and mouse game, which will never end.
-
They didn't lie they had the exploits almost as soon as it was released that's why there are multiple jailbreaks available. The only thing they had left to find was a stable and easy untethered jailbreak. Everybody so quick to find fault and to blame the guys who work so hard for free. Makes no sense
-
I completely agree with you RiffRath. They work EXTREMELY hard to beat the masters at apple. I commend them.
-
The dev team talks and talks about what they can do and unless someone else forces them, they never DO IT. Practice what Apple does. Announce once you're ready. JUST DO IT, STOP TALKING ABOUT IT.A whole team of people can't do what one nerdy George could do... release a jailbreak in a single day once challenged.
-
they get tons of donations, you realize.
