Redns0w For Untethered iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak Updated To Fix ‘Launchctl’ Issue [Updatedx3]
iPhone Dev team has just released a new version of Redsn0w, which includes the fix for launchctl issue that was fixed in the Corona iOS 5.0.1 Untether jailbreak earlier today.
After a long wait, iPhone Dev team and the Chronic Dev team released Redsn0w and Corona iOS 5.0.1 Untether to perform an untethered jailbreak on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, iPod touch 3G and iPad 1 yesterday.

I'm not sure what it is but just run the jailbreak again over 5.0.1 and uncheck install cydia when you get to that option

When I untethered my iPhone 4 the other day I noticed that my iBooks is not working now and was wondering if there was a fix coming for that. Thanks

I'd like to note that on the first time (iPhone 4, 32GB, iOS 5.0.1, no JB/unlock before this) i tried this it didn't work. The jailbreak didn't actually occur. Yes I did everything right, i've done this probably a hundred times with other devices, but it didn't even run. Had to run it a SECOND time for the jailbreak to actually happen. A few notes:-Cydia appears on screen 2+ (farther right if there is no space)-When I got back to my homescreen after the JB finished, I only had Edge, no 3G. FIX: turn Airplane mode on then off temporarily fixes it. but I seem to be stuck on Edge network (AT&T)-Device is unable to find a WiFi signal now

I got a question, if I already used an older version of redsnow (latest before the untether) to do a preserved baseband update to ios 5.0.1, could I just rerun the jailbreak process with the latest redsnow to make it untethered? I'm on an iPhone 4, baseband 4.10.01, thanks.

Will this work on ios 5 if i rerun redsnow just to make my iphone 4 untether. I already have it running on ios 4 tethered and dont want to update the phone.

Maybe I'm an idiot... but I ran this over my untethered jailbreak from the release yesterday and now cydia still says I have all of my apps downloaded and installed, but nothing is working. Messages coming in from message app instead of bitesms. 5 icon dock and springboard say they're installed, but not working. I've tried respringing multiple times. Anyone else having this issue?

i reaplied this over first b1 jailbreak, no signal now... b1 was fine but i like to use latest redsn0w.BUT turn phone off n on n all seems good!

is there any way I can jailbreak without having to go into DFU mode? the power button on my iPhone 4 has broke and the cable flex has also broke :(or is there any sort of program that I can use to put my device into DFU mode?

Can anyone tell me if iBooks will still work after jailbreaking iphone4 (gsm) running 5.0.1? i have a lot of stuff in my ibooks library and would rather not lose it.

How long will this jailbreak be available? I suppose it will stop working when apple releases the next iOS, right?

This is not vital, but just to let people know, FakeCarrier is not working with this fix, The program open but it is not changing the carrier anymore!!

Comming from a tethered jailbreak, I installed Cydia again :p (over my old Cydia) (i know i don't have to do it) why, cause before it was Cydia 1.1.1, when installing Cydia, now it is 1.1.3, and yes i reïnstalled my cydia apps again, all working fine, except a few don't install yet cause prolly cydia servers are hammered to much :) i'll wait a fe wdays before i reïnstall these again :)

If I ran the untethered yesterday and then did the Corona update as posted by Saurik in Cydia, need I rejailbreak with this latest version?

Okay do I have to rejailbreak my iPhone even if I'm having no problems with it? I mean everything is working fine so far, is it necessary? iOS 5.0.1

The issue with iBooks still exists. The launchctl issue and the iBooks issue are not related.

No you won't. Dev team has asked you to deselect Cydia as it is already installed on your jailbroken iOS device.

We would recommend you to rejailbreak (with Cydia unchecked), but if you haven't hit any issue then you can skip it for now.

I am currently running a jailbroken os4.01 phone with baseband 01.59.00. the phone was bought unlocked by apple. If i upgrade to 5.01 via itunes and then JB with redsnow will i still have the factory unlock? Do i need to preserve my baseband or does it not matter?
