Yes, having same issue here... Even i cant see all those tweaks in setting... Non of it is working.

I think I might hold off on this JB. It would be the most sensible thing to do. Is there a respected / bulletproof way to "go back " to my current state if all should go kaputs! I have never really had to "go back" to any prior JB.I only ask because I will not perform a JB that I can't get rid of!

Have a iPhone 4 (not 4s), redsnow on windows 7 b64bit, did a iTune update and updated to iOS 5.0.1, redsnow guides me into DFU mode, and it starts the updating limera screen. For 3 or time attempts it just hung there and the phone started normally.Then I started writing this comment, and tried it once more to get the crrect spelling of limera, and it went all the way through correctly. Woot!

Did that, most app stated i am in safemode, ask me pls restart and I didsame thing happen.. my iphone in safemode.......

I checked enable multitasking gestures when I jailbroke, after jailbreaking in settings it shows multitasking on, but the gestures don't seem to work. Any suggestions?Thanks in advance ;)

Like others, all tweaks stopped working, including activator.Did this to fix it.1)Took backup of all Cydia apps inatalled using xbackup.2)Uninstalled mobile substrate in Cydia. This uninstalled all other Cydia tweaks on the phone except xbackup.3)Restored backup taken in step 1.4)Rebooted phone.Now all tweaks are back again and working fine as before.

Just JB using redsn0w 10.2b everything's fine except ibooks. it runs but then hangs. doesn't show any books at all. my chinese ICED dictionary runs but then spits out of back to the home screen....... weird...

Had my 3gs jailbroken and unlocked yesterday using Redsnow 0.9.10b1 but today i updated to 0.9.10b2, but now no longer get tmobile signal. tried restarting many times, also tried installing/reinstalling ultrasn0w many times but dont get the signal..not sure whats the issue? Is there any way i can go back to my 0.9.10b1?

Defenitly back to the drawing board guys. This wasn't really any better for me. I did notice if you remove substrate safe mode & most cydia apps it does seem to work great but that defeats the purpose of jailbreaking!

Took me all day to figure out but if anyone who owns a iPod touch 4g and the phone boots into ios when redsn0w says "waiting for reboot" and hangs there. YOu have to manually upload the 5.0.1 ipsw in the extras menu then jailbreak. TOOK ME 10 HOURS. Jailbreaking hasn't taken me this long since the first iphone sitting there in putty running codes for hours to unlock the baseband.

And Unlock for 4 and 4s its diferent story :) .I hope Apple vill give them green lite for that soon .But for now ....Whats the point ?Jailbreak os ok but purpose of hacking it before was to unlock the device for the primary use .And this today is just Unique :)

everytime i try jb my iphone 4 ios 5.0.1 using redsnow 0.9.10b1 it keep saying that my device was not detected. i tried to delete it and remove it on recycle bin then reboot my laptop then redownload again but i still getting the same issue. what should i do pls help. my baseband is 4.11.08 is' t possible to jailbreak? thanks

if you can get the redsn0w binary to run, I heard that unplugging the iDevice while redsn0w says "waiting for reboot" then quickly plugging it back in will get around the PPC limitations. That is, if the binary will run. My only surviving PPC mac is in storage 550 miles away, else I'd try it for you.

OR, you could try building a windows environment in microsoft's virtual PC for powerPC macs. I'm not familiar with it, but it looks like you should be able to create a USB passthrough and build a shoddy windows install long enough to get jailbroken. http://www.macupdate.com/download/6078/VirtualPC703.dmg

Try disabling your firewall, t.ex ZA causes this

i guess coz everytime i run redsnow there is this pop up saying the firewall stop it from running then i click allow it anyway. i try later tho. tnx firewall
