If you're sure it is factory unlocked then you don't need to preserve the baseband.

Having a ton of issues like that. Failure to fetch messages, Error: POSIX:Operation time..... Error: Cached Failure. What's the deal with all that. Jailbreak twice, running Corona, Winterboard is fine but everything else is f&@ked up.

Problem: Getting an error as follows:Memory exhausted Steps to reproduce:1. Launch Redsn0w 2. Choose Custom IPSW3. Find the IPSW and press enter on it 4. while building the Custom IPSW, the error occurs.

Anyone else having this issue?:After it gets to "Uploading Stage 2", the phone just reboots like normal and nothing else happens. This happens every time...

Question on running Redsn0w on the following config:iPhone 4 32GB using GEVEY SIM Firmware : 04.10.01 Prior JB : Sn0wbreese I have verified that as long as I preserve baseband, I can JB with Redsn0w. However, this phone was jailbroken using Sn0breese. Also, this phone has a GEVEY SIM (not ultra Gevey)Thanks to the dev team for the software solution.

If you haven't guessed by all the comments, whatever you do, do not attempt this jailbreak yet. I like others have a useless iphone now. I realize this is all "at your own risk" but seriously, this is the worst/most unstable jb to date. Can't believe this was released. Truly shakes my confidence in the dev-team. I do however trust they can & will get us out of this mess.

I don't think that one issue can kill the enttire software package. The DEV team warns against performing updates / jbs without backups. They do provide suggestions for backing up your i device before performing the jailbreak but we must heed the warnings. Did you perform a backup before performing the JB on this device?

With the way things are going, its prolly easier to just get a pre-unlocked phone

As stated in my original post, I realize there are always risks. I have done quite a few jb's in my time, this one seems to be causing the most issues I've seen though. I'm just warning people to stay clear until a more stable version becomes available. Based on all the issues I'm seeing/having, I just wish I would have waited.

Just open cydia and do a search for Corona iOS 5.0.1 Untethered v1.0-3, install this and exit out and reboot your phone.., all problems fixed and you will be able to get the big boss source, winterboard, sbsettings etc.. no need to re-jailbreak! I did this yesterday and running good.. took me a couple cydia loads for the sources to load!in the top post they mention this! if you install this, then no need to go through the hassle of re-jailbreaking! Have fun!

How to unselect intall cydia ?There are 2 options, one to jailbreake and install cydia e the second one "extras".You need to select one to go to next screen.

So I'm stuck in DFU mode. Goes through update but stuck in black screen and itunes says needs to restore. Any way to get past this?

I have the same during peak hours, guess the servers are just busy.If you google cydia cached failure there is a guide to solve the problem if it's in your repos.

ok was getting 1600 error so tried old bootrom jailbreak which loaded but would get stuck after instal. So I tried restore to new bootrom jb from another pc and worked perfectly. Lets hope I can get around all the other issues people are facing. Hope this helps!

Hi,I had a carrier with my IPhone.I have changed the carrier and I forget to unlock my IPhone.I asked my previous carrier and they said me that everything was OK but my new SIM card is still not accepted by my IPhone.I have jailbreaked it perfectly, but I still have a message saying that my SIM card is not recognized.If I put it in my girlfriend's unlocked Iphone, it is working fine.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Regards,Sam.

what if everything is running OK, I have an ipod touch 3rd gen., and yeah, at first I couldn't reinstall my previous, but, before I used the the untethered I backed everything up using ishshit, so when I noticed I couldn't reinstall my previous, I went into my e-mail, clicked on file that I e-mailed myself from ishshit, and was able to reinstall everything. So, if I have everything running correctly is there a need to update to the latest? thanks....
