iPhone Dev team just released an CLI tool to jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 for Windows users.
In this guide, we will take you through the step by step procedure to jailbreak iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0.1 or iOS 5 using Dev team's CLI tool. It's only for the technically inclined and this should make it easier.

After the cinject -w command I turn on my vpn and I get an error "A configuration error occurred."And nothing happens...I've tried this many times, with & without admin right, changed the cinject root folder places and still nothing..Anyone cares to explain? Maybe I'm too dumb for my cmd?

cinject.exe -j payloadsthen i get error about FATAL (_LINE_) error any idea pleasae peeps!

In step 6 after you enter "cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig" make sure you press "Install" on your phone before issuing "cinject.exe -j payloads" command.

If you're getting 1266 FATAL error, Go to phone settings-general-reset-erase all content and settings. Of course BACKUP your phone before erasing all content. Then try again.

Everything seems to work smoothly for me, but when I go to turn on VPN on my iphone, i get a VPN Configuration Error, don't know why. The Command prompt is just constantly logging whatever I do at the same time for some reasonAny help?

yes it does. I got an error the first tried but did thisGuys, for those who encountered the 1266 error:1. Do a backup in itunes2. Go to phone settings-general-reset-erase all content and settings3. After reboot/config done, exe the cinject commands.4. After Jb, restore your contents from itunes again.This will solve the 1266 error. Have fun!

How much do the steps for iPad 2 differ from this? I just did my 4s with no issues. Can confirm no issue with windows 7 64bit

Ok you will click on start on your computer...then search for cmd.exe you need to right click it and run as administrator .....then you will get to our command prompt and type cd... cd... to cd to your c:/ after than type cd and where ever you folder is located..I hope that helps.

I went rit to VPN, I'm not sure if you are meant to wait but mine worked fine, maybe wait a little if you feel safer. When your phone reboots and Cydia is there. You are done

as soon as i executed step 3, it prompted me on the phone to install the jailbreak profile on my phone, should i do that on the phone first or execute the rest of the commands?

Hi,You have to change directories to the one that you unzipped cinject too. Use the change directory dos command "cd" as follows. If you saved cinject to the root on drive c under directory "cinject" the command you would type is "cd cinject" without the quotes. Then type "dir" and you should see a listing of the cinject directory. If the CMD window opens in another directory, just type "cd.." until you get back to the root and continue from there.Any further questions just let me know.
