Update on iOS 5.1 Jailbreak For New iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4S
On the day of the new iPad launch, the jailbreak community was on fire, first Stefan Esser and then iPhone Dev Team and chpwn + phoneixdev revealed that they had figured out a way to jailbreak the new iPad within hours of it going on sale.
Stefan Esser aka i0n1c was the only one to clarify that his 3rd generation iPad jailbreak was untethered.

just need the 5.1 untethered for the 4s and after that we really shouldnt care all that much how long it takes for a new one afterwards /antifirstpostretardedness

@juanes31516Sorry for the bad answers people have told you. This post says that there will be an iPad 3 iOS 5.1 jailbreak soon. There is NOT one now.It also says there MIGHT be an iPhone 4s iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak in the future. But right now no there is not an iPhone 4s iOS 5.1 untethered.

I hope this one works with iBooks. I still have trouble with my iPad 1 JB using absinthe and the latest corona. Random missing pages from many books. One book was just missing the ending. These were all purchased from iTunes. Errors replicated with each update of iBooks. Not sure about iBooks 1 though.

Jailbreak for iP4S 5.0.1 has been released, since mid January or so.

He's saying he's already got his 4s jailbroken on 5.1 and is just waiting. The new ipad only comes with 5.1 so he's awaiting the jailbreak for that. So he's basically saying he couldn't care less if no 4s break comes out as long as one does for the ipad

Hi every body:What i side was easy !!!!! I decided to buy the iPad 3(The new iPad as Apple named it) because of the work of these great people who are helping us in Jailbreaking our IOS devices . Nothing else???Hopefully and soon they will release the jailbreak for 5.1
