I have an Ipad2 running on 4.3.3. Is there any way to upgrade to 5.0.1?? I've tried through Itunes by holding shift/restore, but keep getting error 3194. Any ideas?

1) why were you using that old beat version anyways when there was a JB for a later OS ?2) you've downloaded the 5.0.1 firmware correct ? and updated iTunes ?

Last time people went out and bought an i device because the jailbreak community had news of a possible jailbreak we ended up waiting over four months. Chances are when they release the jailbreak you still have a couple hours to go out and get an "New" iPad from a local retailer be it best buy or an apple store. So I would wait for those with a fist full of cash and ONLY wanting a jailbroken device.

This is absolute nonsense presentation. He didn't even show what version of iOS is on this iPad. Instead he kept on punching cydia (at least 4x). There's actually no iOS 5.1 JB confirmation on this presentation. Besides, very poor video!!!

seriously? you must not be familiar with the settings screen. look 3 lines up from the paper card he has sitting on the ipad. clearly shows 5.1 as the iOS version.

If you have Ipad its normal that you have trouble jaibreaking it whit absinthe cause absinthe is for ipad 2 you must use redsnow for your ipad 1

there are no 4 jailbreak there is only 1 or 2 who is untether others are kernel exploit

I have an iPad two and I am litterally KICKING myself because I updated it to 5.1. I mean, it was fine when it was at 5.0.1 but ah well...Any way, to my question, all you guys talk about is jailbreaking the iPad 3 and ios 5.1 for the iPhone. CAN I Jailbreak an iPad 2 with 5.1?thanks in advance!

No, apple no longer signing 5.0.1 so you can't update. you'll have to wait till 5.1 is jailbroken , then jailbreak ASAP before they update again and stop signing that one.

Yes you can use tiny umbrella and redsnow or ireb to enter pawned dfu put it in dfu open tiny then start TSS then open iTunes and do the steps you mentioned above. Sometimes even if you get the error message and you just do it twice it works.

5.1 improved battery life,very important fix for me,after that i don't see any point of updates,unless they prolong battery life but i doubt thatCan't wait for the jailbreak :)
