go to iclarified and there are instructions. unless you are on an iPad 2 you can "tether jailbreak" 4s, iPad 1 etc. on 5.1. hopefully 5.1 userland jailbreak (meaning all devices running 5.1 can jailbreak)If you saved you 5.0 or 5.01 blobs in cydia you can downgrade to 5.01 if you are at 5.1 and then jailbreak untethered, mileage varies depending on device and what's been done to it. if you are on iOS 5.0 or 5.01 use redsn0w to save your blobs and APTicket so you can downgrade and untether until 5.1 untether is released which should be fairly soon.Cheersiclarifieddotcom has info on al this.
