I wouldn't wait! I would go ahead and get 5.1.1 now since he has already confirmed it works. Apple could pull something funky and release a new OS without warning and then you would be hosed.

If you saved your shsh you can restore your iPhone to the same ipsw you have installed on your iPhone. If you didn't save your shsh you are screwed buddy once you press that restore button you won't be able to restore to 5.0.1 instead you'll be forced to update to the latest update 5.1.1
