I had the same problem. It worked after I backed up my iphone then I did a full restore, jailbroke my iphone then restored my iphone from back up. Hopefully that helps!

Problem with jailbreak my iphone 4. Put it in DFU mode cuz my phone having too much data... almost done... got to the part that the iphone re-spring and stuck there with the apple icon... every few seconds it re-spring.now I got to restore everything again.

If you have your shsh blobs saved, downgrade to 5.0.1 then do a over the air update to 5.1.1 then redsn0w for the jailbreak, worked for me ;)

Error 2000 fixed by downgrading to 5.0.1 then OTA Update to 5.1.1 then jailbreak ;)

Error 2000 fixed by downgrading to 5.0.1 using shsh blobs then upgrade using 5.1.1 over the air update (not iTunes) then jailbreak using redsn0w ;)

After upgrading your phone to 5.1.1, reset the iphone to factory default before you jailbreak again.... somehow SB settings will let you encounter error 2000, even after deleting it from your iphone....

i have done but the cydia icon is in blank. I reboot it and sitll in blank but cydia works perfectly ;)

@Edwinelbarber You can try installing iWipe Cache from Cydia to see if it solves the problem. If it doesn't then let us know there is another workaround.

I thought this was an UNTETHERED jailbreak ? Why is my iPhone 4 saying that it is tethered and I have to do the Extras > Just BOOT button ? I'm confused, how can I make it Untethered ?

my Cydia icon is blank too and it wont let me open it, how do I fix that ? What is iWipe Cache ?

I had that 2000 Error as well and Absinthe didn't work either on my 4S. My solution was to do a "Factory Restore". Then ran Redsn0w and it took less than a minute to JB (since I didn't have anything to back up). After that, I just launched iTunes and restored from backup.
