will this help with the battery life? im on 5.1.1 jb on absinthe iphone 4s. my battery doesnt last more then 4 hours standby mode and usage mode time goes up at the same time when i am not using the phone.

i have a problem with this jailbreak cause i rejailbroken my iphone for with this update beta 2 and was done by beta 1 but had some problems, thought it would fix my problems but now it is workin good except all the jailbroken apps as ad blocker and zeyphr and auto killer with appear on the setting menu now they are not there and not in active mode althought i checked cydia and they are installed and i reinstalled them but agian not in the menu what shall i dooooooooo

The "pending in the tss queue" means that it is waiting on confirmation of saving SHSH blobs for 5.1.1. You will need to allow Cydia to fully load the sources prior to being able to download any packages. You can try clicking "refresh". -

guys, this Jailbreak was awesome, i had absolutely no issues downloading the file, and no problems opening it or jailbreaking my Iphone 4s on 5.1.1.

While I plugged in and go into DFU mode it started working the initial stage. But after some time I'm receiving a windows error message "This program needs to be closed. U'll loose unsaved data". This happens repeatedly. Can anybody help????

Hi, I have a question about this process. I have an iphone 4 which is sim locked, came from T-Mobile in Germany. Does this jailbreak process break also the sim lock or should I do it separately? And if I should do it separately, how can i do it? I am really new to this stuff.

@thespoilsport Redsn0w cannot unlock your iPhone. It allows you to only jailbreak your iPhone. If you depend on Ultrasn0w to unlock your iPhone, you will have to use PwnageTool for Mac (http://www.iphonehacks.com/2012/06/redsn0w-pwnagetool-ios-5-1-1-untethered-jailbreak-support-ultrasn0w-ios-5-1-1.html) or Sn0wbreeze for Windows (http://www.iphonehacks.com/sn0wbreeze) to preserve the baseband as Ultrasn0w supports only 01:59:00 iPhone 4 baseband. After using PwnageTool/Sn0wbreeze to update your iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1.1 while preserving the baseband to 01:59:00, you can install Ultrasn0w from Cydia.

thanks for the reply. after i posted this comment i read a little more about this stuff. and i think i get it now. i need to jailbreak first in order to unlock it. (i have the baseband 04.12.01 by the way.) i always thought i needed to unlock first. i do not actually need to unlock my phone, at least for now. my question now is that, if i just jailbreak, does it block or do any harm to my iphone just because it's sim locked?

@thespoilsport There is no issue jailbreaking your iPhone. In fact, if you are using SIM from an official iPhone carrier then you don't need to worry about hactivation.

It is currently not possible to unlock iPhone 4 on baseband 04:12:01 using Ultrasn0w which is the software method. You can check out hardware based solutions such as Gevey SIM, though we don't know how well it works.
