if your on windows vista or 7 go into C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ . modify by date, rightclick on the folder that was last modified, choose properties>previous versions and you will see your second last backup there, choose restore and agree to all and apply then load up itunes and choose restore from previous backup and choose the one that shows and that should get all you lost prior to your last backup when it backup up your new jb.

dan: How did you do that? see my problem is I dont have the softbank sim so, yes im stuck in emergency call only...cant even get past that screen to USE AS AN IPOD!! IN THIS ENTIRE COMMUNITY NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO GET PAST THE 'INSERT SIM WITH NO PIN LOCK TO ACTIVATE'???

im getting error code (ff) i got the 0000005 error code the first time i tried then i right clicked on the sprint icon and changed to windows 98 but i have vista i need help badly

i install it and face some problems because i cant seems to use instll0us to find applications. And it seems like it is infected with virus because my wallpaper has change to a man named ikee and it cant remove.. :(

Hmmm I have a rough idea of how to remove the ikee already. However does anyone experience the fast drain of battery? Izzit normal or I miss out any steps in the jailbreaking process?

i have an iphone 3gs 3.1.3 firmware. i jailbroke it yesterday with this new methode from spirit. it was very easy but what i really wanted to do was unlock it wich i dont think i can do it myself. so im wondering if anyone can help me in this 'can i unlock this phone or no'???/ please help me

I think that maybe you have to use snowbrezee to upgrade it to 3.1.3, set righ options, then upgrade. thats easy.

I have a problem, I am using an officially unlocked iphone 3gs 3.1.3 with baseband 5.12.01 MC model.
I used Spirit to JB it, and I do see Cydia installed, but I can't run it. Everytime I tap on the icon is tries to launch then goes back to out immediately.
I tried view my phone using ifunbox and it says my iphone is jailed.
Any ideas anyone? Been searching high and low for solutions and have been unable to do so.
Please help. Many thanks.

if it helps, ive broken my girlfriends iphone 3g on the new software. You need to downgrade the software once you have cydia on your phone. The software is fuzzyband this downgrades to 3.1.2 then you can unlock then as normal with redsn0w on cydia as well.

no you cant unlock the 3gs with the spirit jailbreak only the 3g. fuzzyband dont work on the 3gs.

Anyone having trouble with MMS can't send or receive images or if I happen to receive I get the old, go to the website and inputID and Password.

I just want to give my thanks to the developers of "Spirit", been waiting a while to JB my 3GS. I managed to JB without a hitch, everything is working and haven't encountered any of the problems posted above.

just go into cydia search for (fuzzyband)installed and downgrade baseband when you finish downloading and downgrading you will need to download 3.1.2 firmware and then run blackran.

if you are trying to unlock the carrier for t-mobile or any GSM carrier then download the app bootneuter from cydia. remember to be using the internet and NOT have a sim in when using it
