I have a 3G unlocked on Orange uk the phone was bought in the states locked to AT&T if I us the beta to jailbreak it won't hacktivate it so I would be stuck or as Orange is now an official carrier will I be ok

Can I unlock my 3GS 3.1.3 baseband 05.12.01 with that release and then upgrade to OS4 when the jailbreak would be release? Or should I have to wait for the OS4?

This is all good but what about 4 those of us whose iPhones are stuck on the connect to iTunes. I live outside the US and can't use this method. I hope they wil release something 4 us soon.

hey dude.well i was wondering the same thing but i did the unlock and jail break on the same exactly firmwear you have and it worked fine..
im guessing i have to update it to IOS4 and then jail break and unlock it when the tools are released -
well if you havent jail broken or updated it then i think you might have done something wrong.if you jailbroke it with spirit and then used this method..it should have worked.

Warning:
Do not install US 0.93 using a WiFi connection to Cydia. If you do, after reboot, your WiFi will be partially crippled. You will not be able to add a new WiFi that is either non-broadcasing or encrypted via the "other" button in WiFi settings. Install US 0.93 using 3G only with WiFi turned off.

I got a 3GS, Jailbroken iOS4, Baseband 05.12.01. Installed Ultrasn0w 0.93. But i don't get any signal, most of the time it says "no service". some times i get signal but it only last for a cupel of hours.Pleas Help.

THANK YOU GUYSSSSS!!! been keeping my iphone without unlocking for more then five months, YES!!! ultrasn0w.93 works like eating an ice cream, go to "cydia" n "source" look for repo666.ultrasn0w. it should be 0.92 so update to 0.93 then install it. thats is. when phone ask you to reboot, just put your sim and reboot. u will be making calls in no time happy people.
