****, I guess i'm getting fired today waiting for this ****.
-
I understand the impatience, @Bruski107. The word seems to be from 9am Pacific Standard Time in the US - which makes it another 3.5 hours. I'm in the process of unjailbreaking, restoring and resetting so I can upgrade in a few hours. That gives me another three days of playing around before (hopefully) a new jailbreak appears - with feaures that will be incorporated in iOS5.

ayyo iPhoneHacks...u guys should update us and give us the list of the '100 new features' like u did last year...would really appreciate that :)

Hello i will get a iphone 4 end this month.i have a iphone 3gs factory unlocked.the iphone 4 will be locked and i will have to jailbreak, activate, and ulock.what i have to do?
Update or no update to the new itunes . -
i have a question?i have the 3gs 3.1.3 jailbroken.if i upgrade to 4.0,will i be able to jailbrake and unlock it,thanks
-
I think aptback up its really neat. Ive been using it since the 2g came out, i have a 32gb unlock and jb old bootrom 3gs and ive carried all my jb apps from all my previous iphones (a 2g and a 3g) without problems. All you have to do is hit therestore button on the aptbackup then after that backup your phone with itunes then when you restore with the itunes download aptbackup again an hit the restore button, it takes a while but it works like a charm

question for iphonehacks: i have a jb 3.1.2 3GS version..is it ok to upgrade to itunes and ios 4?
-
Ohh.Cant wait too much:(
-
Seriously, don't complain when your cydia apps stop working or your phone is not unlocked, etc if you upgrade to ios 4 today. Just wait a day or two to see how things work themselves out.
-
Still no news?? Or what??
-
I've been using the GM of iOS 4 and jailbroke my 3G with redsnow which allows multitasking and wallpaper for iPhone 3G. So far i have had no issues with using multitasking so long as you close heavy apps that you dont need no longer. iOS 4 is better than i thought it would be =D

My 3GS is jailbroken on 3.1.2. Like a couple of other users I do not care about my jailbreak anymore. I'm getting the new phone in a few days and passing this one down to my brother who doesn't want it jailbroken. What is wrong with just upgrading to 4.0? What is all this talk about bricking the phone? Shouldn't I be able to just update to 4. I understand I will lose the jailbreak. Isn't the update basically just a restore with new software?

-
Me too. I noticed it last night. My FEDEX tracking number still isn't found but the status page tells me that it shipped on 6-17, all 3 items in the list.
-
Thanks did read, but I'm hoping things like a 'pop up blocker' or something like 'bite sms' might be revealed in the smaller upgrade features? Guess it's wishful thinking and I'll have to jailbreak :)
-
any chance I'll be able to install iOS4 on a 1st gen iphone once the unlock & jailbreak is released? currently running jailbroken 3.1.2 but really want the new features from ios4!!!
-
I never updated to 3.1.3 so I decided to do that first. Hopefully that will safely remove my jailbreak. Then I can update to 4.0.
