I have a 3gs. I tried to jailbreak 4.0 but I always got error 1600 when I put my phone in DFU mode and 1604 when I put my phone in recovery mode. anyone can help me? I'm using windows and make custom firmware by Sn0wbreeze.

heyy so i jailbroke my phone to os 4 just fine with this software.. but now when i turn on my phone there is your pineapple logo, when there is supposed to be an apple.. is there anyway i can change it back to the apple?

No need to downgrade...since you are still on 04.26.08 baseband you are obviously jailbroken and running a custom firmware. Just follow the steps to create your custom ios 4.0 ipsw and restore as instructed. Be sure to follow the instructions EXACTLY as detailed. If unsure, read and reread until you do, or have someone with experience perform the custom upgrade for you.

please help i have a iphone 3gs older bootrom that i jailbroke with spirit i just downloaded the spirit patch thats suppose to let you jailbreak using the pawnage jailbreak i did all the steps to use pawnage jailbreak but now im getting error 1600 when i put phone into restore can someone please tell me what im doing wrong or should i just keep trying to restore using the pawnage tool??? please help

You don't have to jailbreak again. There is an app in Cydia called LogoMe that will let you change the boot image.

I have a iphone 3GS with the old bootram 359.3 with 3.1.2 97D11) and i stupidly restore my phone to the new OS 4.0 a( iPhone2,1_4.0_8A293_Restore ) i downloaded online. The restore was succesful but when i tried to use the redsnow win0.9b5 or even win0.9.4 i keep getting a message : Unable to recognize specified IPSW. The phone works fine but i do not have cydia anymore. What should I do??? Please help -

I have an iPhone 3GS with old bootrom and I accidentally upgrade to iOS 4. It has not been previously jailbroken and I do not have any SHSH saved because it wasn't jailbroken when I was on 3.1.2 or 3.1.3. Is there any way that I can jailbreak the phone now? Please any help would be great. Thanks.

after I select the customized software, itunes tells me that there was an error 1600.... how can I fix this?

Get the latest iTunes 9.2

I have an Iphone 3GS, 3.1.2, old bootrom. JB'd using Blackra1n. Everything was fine until i reset the network settings. My phone got frozen. only the LOGO is showing. so i put it in recovery mode, update my itunes to latest version, and update my phone to 4.0. and everything was restored except for the jailbreaking. what tool am i going to use for jailbreaking this iOS4? can i use this PWNAGE tool?
