I'm trying to jailbreak my brand new iPhone 4 that I bought today. All seems fine but it's been 45 minutes and iTunes is still restoring the jailbroken version. I'm willing to wait it out but fear something may be wrong. Any suggestions?

Once again, thank you dev team for the pwnage tool. Finally I managed to jailbreak and unlock my iPhone 4 on iOS 4.1.
Problem is, my facetime is always "waiting for activation". And it has been stucked there since iOS 4.0.1. Anyone know a solution for this?
I can't use facetime. My iPhone 4 is AT&T locked and i have unlock to use it in Singapore. I tried MiTime but it failed.

Hi. First, thank you for this guide. I followed the entire process and finally I was able to jailbreak and unlock my phone.
After my iphone synced all of my information, I tried to use it but my sim card does not work. I removed and put it back, but my iphone just shows me one bar sign but not the name of my carrier. I´m not able to make or receive calls. Is it maybe because I use the same working sim card in the jailbreaking process. How can I fix it.

i have JB successfully with pawnage4.1 my 3g which has been in recovery mode loop and had it accidentally updated to baseband 05.14.2,,thanks so very much !!!!!!,however i had it unlock using ultrasnOw but had downgraded the baseband c/o fuzzyband and now the problem is the phon is getting so slow,,is there any solution to this one???thanks

unfortunatly my 3GS crashed so i had to restore to 4.1 with 5.14.02......
is there a way to downgrade? old firmware? save the iphone? or i'm the LOL and have to wait for new JB/UL?? -

Are you using the SIM from an official iPhone carrier? If so did you remember to follow the instructions in step 9?
If you want to use with any other carrier then you will have to use Ultrasn0w to unlock it:

Yes you can and will then have to use Ultrasn0w to unlock it (spirit was to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.3)

Go to settings>phone>facetime. Turn it ON if it's set to OFF. If it's already ON turn it OFF and then turn it ON again. Reboot your phone and you'll be able to facetime. Have fun!

I also have these apps on my iPhone 3gs and only see them if I open iFile "/Var/Stash/Application". The apps were hidden and doesn't show on my screen.Now it alerted me when I saw the post from TrustMe and J3Z's. I was concerned as well as CJ and Kay about the security risk since I use my phone all the for business.

We've no idea, they are probably some internal apps like iOS diagnostics. I am not sure where J3Z got his information.
We will let you know if we find more information about these apps. -

Those apps are on my iPhone 4 jailbroken using Limera1n. However, these apps were also there on the iPhone 3GS on iOS 4 jailbroken using Spirit. So they seem to be some internal apps, don't think it is anything to be worried about. iOS Diagnostics seems to be a new app that has been recently introduced after iOS 4.
I think j3z is just winding ppl up. -
I just ran this and managed to preserve my baseband, but it wiped everything from my phone...
Help?

After you have restored your iPhone with the custom iPhone firmware, iTunes will prompt you to set up your iPhone. You can restore from a backup that you had created before starting this process to sync your apps and data or set it up as a new iPhone.
