Not able to update to iOS5 here also. I'm also getting error 3200 after the backing up failure for iPhone 3GS.

Took me about 3 and a half hours. Once it started to back up and I have a lot of apps that'll be another hour so I cancelled and am going to bed. Stuff Apple and their primitive iOS. Spent half the night got nothing. Have a 2mbit connection. I'll stick to my Xoom Android tablet. This is my LAST Apple product. Once my iphones off contract that's it. Innovation? I think not. They can stuff their ios 5.0 you know where. They're way behind widgets and Honeycomb.

Downloaded update and now getting error 3200 when installing, iPhone 4

Same problem on my iphone 4. I've never jailbroen it, have a good internet connection, gets right to 'verifying restore with apple' then error 3200. Very irritating, tried 3 times so far. Let me know if someone has help getting past this.

No idea what i did to resolve this issue 3200 but now it is updating. Strange.

I got the 3200 error while using my non-standard adapter. I have the mophie power pack. I used the apple standard usb connector and it worked.

I'm also getting error 3200... just updated my iTunes software, restarted my computer... now trying a different USB port. Grr. Trying to update mine before my boyfriend gets home so I can rub it in his face!

For those who receive 3200 error, just turn off the phone. After that turn it on and update IOS. Works like a chark. Good luck !

I had error 3200 3 times. I changed the USB port my cable was plugged into to one in the back of my PC tower and then it worked 1st time.Don't know if this will help anyone else but thought I'd let you know just in case

If you get 3200 error just keep trying, eventually it will work. Had to try 10 times on mine, but now updating ok.

Same prob here (error 3200). Did try it now for about 6 times, but still no luck. Guess i'll have to wait till the apple servers can handle the load.

Has anyone signed up for a new me.com email address? If so, how? I'm still in the process of updating to ios5.Going from a tethered jailbreak of 4.3.5, I was having problems. I'm resetting my iphone from the settings and will try again.I tried it from DFU mode and that failed too, so hopefully the reset will do it.

For all you people getting the 3200 error.. SWITCH YOUR PHONE TO AIRPLANE MODE!! That did it for me..
