How To Jailbreak iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G Running iOS 5.1 Using Redsn0w
Apple released iOS 5.1 yesterday, which includes some minor improves and bug fixes.
iPhone Dev team has just released a new version of Redsn0w - Redsn0w 0.9.10b6 that supports iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1 and 3rd-generation and 4th generation iPod touch.

No word yet but if it's anything like any jailbreak ever, it could be anywhere from a few days or weeks to a couple months. not like it matters, tethered really isn't that bad, but somehow it's been marked with a black spot as if nobody should go near it. i used a tethered for months, hardly ever inconvenienced, maybe once.

where is the extras category? my cydia icon is white and wont launch, and i am looking for the extras button now. Thanks!

I followed the steps and my computer froze when it was "Exploiting with limera1n", how do I fix this????

when i try 2 jailbreak my ipod3g ios5.1 it stops when it is patching kernel and it says (redsn0w.exe has stoped working) when i do everything as listed. how do i get it to work?

i tried this it worked but then the cydia icon is still white.. i've tried the extra and just boot but still same thing.. i've tried the just boot for 5 times already the icon is still white.. though the cydia is working i just don't know how to change the icon. please help thankz.. and by the way while running the red snow i was not able to reach the part where it says click the finish button and the exe just tells me it's done and the rest will be up to the device.

im trying to fix the reboot for the brown cydia icon but it stops in the middle of the process saying waiting for Ipod Touch 4G.. re-tried several times and still stops at the same spot. dont know how to fix it?

After successfull jailbreak, it stuck on "Exploiting with limera1n" when on "JUST BOOT" mode. White icon cydia cannot fix... Help please.

When I boot up redsn0w, i get this error that say complete iTunes libraries and it failed to load required functions even though I have the latest version of iTunes. My redsn0w also wont detect my 4G iPod touch in DFU mode. NO PROBLEM. delete ALL OLD VERSIONS of redsnow from your mac and reinstall last one. again. done

i also already deleted all old versions and re-downloaded the latest version of redsn0w but still got the same issue. I'm wondering if the problem is in my computer or my Ipod does anyone know or has anyone gotten past this problem?

problem is not ipod or mac. all is about itunes and redsnow. please try in "searchs" on your mac and type "redsn0w" (no "redsnow" with "o"). delete all.all. trash itunes (from applications too) and reinstall last version itunes & redsn0w

I failed when I tried to do the button things and my Ipod touch 4g (version 5.1) is now in DFU mode and i cant get it ou of it, pls someone help me!!!!

When ever I try to start my iPod Touch it shows the Apple logo and the turns off then it shows it again and again. I tried just booting it, that didnt work. I tried restoring it in iTunes, i get error 3194. iTunes is up to date, i tried TinyUmbrella. it still wont work. Please help asap
