My home button doesn't work on my iPod so I can't put it into DFU mode. What should I do?

i have an ipod 4g and i jailbroke my ipod using red sn0w 9.10b6 and i did everything it said and then i tether rebooted it and it is stuck on the loading spiral right after the pineapple. I have tries re jailbreaking and rebooting it again but it keeps on getting stuck after the pineapple screen during the reboot.

Be patient try again . when do dfu mode shut power off holding power button 3 second then hold home button until flash off screen..holding more 3second release power button..keep holding home button ..important this part..when you seem first load release home button right way..let load first stage holding home button again.when is jump second stage release home button then you are be ok

Note : Mostly people try follow do dfu mode holding home button for 30 second that is wrong..correctly step only holding home button for 16 second is dfu mode already

That mean when you jail break load apart has some file error when load jail break..Please do it back again..to seen during jail break any file get error when load it..if has it.Please stop don't do it again..Because you base band cpu chip has stuck.

Measure you have the right software Redsn0w 0.9.10b6 and measure select extraclick on select IPSW ( manually specify an IPSW then browser select IPSW 5.1_9b176 before do jail break or maybe usp has problem try different usp.change ups sport and restart computer then do it again

done as it said worked a treat i got the white cydia logo folowed the steps and done it and all went well switched the ipod off lastnite and couldnt get it to go on cydia thismorning but had a wee read here and as it says boot tethered under extras and now im installing more apps many thanks people wouldnt know what id do without yous

hey sooo i followed all the steps got my ipod in DFU ... have this version of redsn0w(and my ipod is 5.1) .... but everytime .... it keeps saying EXPLOIT FAIL .... what do i do .... please help?

when redsnow stop on exploiting with limera1n,download and open limera1n (limera1n.com), but just open dont clic on any button, open and close limera1n if redsnow stop for a long time.

well i did as told and when its in the status of jailbreaking, when the ipod is suppose to reboot it turns on instead , what should i do???

that reason because when you do dfu mode holding home button is so long.That cause problem ..try is back holding home button only 15 second then release it

I downloaded the tethered 0.9.10b8b and I was wondering if I can just boot that over my redsnow tethered 0.9.10b6 or if I have to jailbreak it again?

Man i almost had a heasrt attack when i was going throught the 3 steps then my **** wouldnt turn on but then i poaniched and presssed random buttons and it somehow processed through ad im downloading the data

Yes you can tethered with 9.10b6 .every time turn off the must to tethered boot again..

Must to right version for resn0w.You can 0.9.10b6 or 0.9.10b8a (late Version) for 5.1

i have done the jailbreak but the thing is i have an app names cydia but when i open it it turns offand nothing appears

That meant you doen't do boot tethered ??.Open Redsn0w 9.10b6 or 9.10b8a click on select IPSW. then browser firmware 5.1 like before you do jail break..But this time on after browser firmware 5.1 on the top click on JUST BOOT then run DFU MODE CYdia will open backGood luck

Note. you need boot tethered every time turn off ur ipod..
