tried on a iphone 3gs blackrain untethered jail.break. got error 1600. phone is still jailbroke and unlocked on 3.1.2 after error.

Worked beautifully!! Kinda.. My phone didn't want to go into recovery mode, or atleast show the connect to iTunes screen, just black.. Wouldn't work. So I ran it while phone was just at idle and worked great.. Question... I have yet to throw a potential buyers tmobile sim into it so I'm not positive it's working. When snowbreeze asked if you'd like to activate, I said no, and still got through. I got th new iPhone 4 and can't use it's microsim to activate my 3GS.. What did you all say, yes or no?

instead of using the DFU mode as sn0wbreeze asks for, I used the recovery mode. No error so far, the phone is being restored now to the custom 4.0 firmware. Should be back with a success message soon... I hope...

I got error 1600 too at first. But I couldn't even put it into proper recovery mode. But it worked like a charm NOT putting it into recovery mode. Just restoring it from idle and worked beautifully

If u had jb with spirit then u hav new bootrom, u have to wait a little (week), till new spirit jb for ios4 is released.

I have a 3GS 16GB JB with blackra1n untethered currently with 3.1.2
I'm very confused if and how this procedure will work for my Geohot handled iPhone.

I previously unlocked/jailbroke my 3G phone originally with Blackrain but made the mistake upgrading to software to 3.1.3 so I lost my unlock/jailbrake. I had no choice than to use Spirit to jailbrake it again. What is is the solution to unlock and jailbrake my 3G phone. Version is 3.1.3 and firmware 05.12.01

For anyone who has an issue with NO SERVICE, or Carrier settings missing, Open CYDIA ( you will have to use WIFI of coarse LOL ) ... Search for UltraSn0W and install.. after the reboot you should be good to go..

can't get this to work...i get the apple snowflake, then sits at an empty progress bar until i get an unknown error (2) message in iTunes. not sure what the problem is...i can install 3.1.2 and re-jailbreak or even install iOS 4.0 standard release.
guess i'm gonna have to wait for something else to come along...

Doesn't work in dfu mode, turn off the phone then hold the home button while you connect to your pc, don't release it until you see the connect to iTunes logo, now iTunes won't give you any errors when you try to restore with the snowbreeze firmware

I'm a bit confused here... My 3GS serial has the numbers '21', the model number is MC131B....
Does this mean that I have the old bootrom?? I have been assuming that I have, but some are saying that the MC models are the new bootrom.
Also, I had originally jailbroken with Blackra1n when I was on 3.1.2, but I did a 'Reset network settings' because my Wi-Fi screwed up, and ending up screwing up the phone so had to update to the offal 3.1.3, which of course can only be jailbroken with Spirit.

Hey guys, i just recently updated to iOS4 on my 3GS (new bootrom) and it was recently jailbroke with blackrain, i did the update and now my iphone keeps reseting intermittently, what do i do? ive tried different methods to restore it fresh as well

hi there..i just managed to update my 3G to ios4 but cant seem to succeed jailbreaking it with snowbreeze..it brings error 1601 with itunes wen i create my custom firmware..any ideas?i hve tried iREB too..nothing works

Use snow breeze on 3G and add ultraslow reboot should have inter net apn
