I am following the directions and it is not working...after i download the 3 files(redsnow,4.0, 4.0.2) and try go to use redsnow to open the 4.0 it says unable to recognize specified IPSW. Any suggestions. i have been stuck on this step for a while and cant seem to figure it out. Thanks.

K I followed all the steps to a T and it made it so i could do anything with my tmobile sim card except use my phone. no calls no texts and no internet unless WIFI. help anyone?

iphone 3Gs 4.0.2 upgraded from 3.1.3. I tried snowbreez 1.3 and I got a cant jailbreak or is already broken. Trid 1.7 version and got the dreaded connect to IPhone screen stuck in safe mode. I was forced to update to 4.0.2 then cam the hated emergency call only screen. It wanted the origanal SIM chip then fired right up, but now I just did an update nothing else. I am in Peru and I need rid of AT&t. Does this redsnow wrk

I jail broke my iphone 3g with 4.0.2, and I set it to show the percent of battery life but after installing the hack, it is not showing the percent of battery life was wondering if anyone else had the same problem or if there is a way to fix it or a way to enable it?

For some strange reason, when i downloaded firmware 4.0 and 4.0.2 and unzipped them, there are no IPSW files....just .dmg files. Can someone tell me what im doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

i have an iphone 3gs. it was jail broken then updated to 4.0.2 software which broke the jailbreak. internet and msging wouldnt work. phone was restored and everything works again but i cant recieve msgs. any idea whats up

. . .my BIG problem however. . .is that I cannot connect to the internet! It was like that prior to me jailbreaking it. . .so trying to run Cydia is definitely a huge problem. . .
One day it was working fine and the next, it wasn't. I've reset my network settings. . .I've reset ALL my settings. . .but when I go to connect to wifi. . .I get the same message that just simply says. . .unable to join the network "NETWORK NAME".
Anyone have any fixes for this?

simply change the file name of the two firmware files that are .zip to .ipsw
