I have a Ipod Touch 3g MC on IOS4.0 Jailbroken with Jailbreakme. So do i have to go back and restore to 3.1.2 and then upgrade with the custom IPSW.

I Restore my iphone 3gs old BR to the 4.1. after it was jb and unlocked on 3.1.3.
how can I use the snowbreeze now?
it pops me the 1604 error on itunes when im trying to restore to the snowbreeze ipsw.

That is great news! Poor Apple...I have another question: My friend thinks if he jailbreaks, he will be banned from the App store and his phone shut off from ATT similar to a modded Xbox and Xbox Live. What do I tell him because I know that's not going to happen.

i tryed to jailbreak using the sn0wbreeze 2 but after the phone booted back i still see the dial pad and itunes logo in background . seems the jailbreak did not work , now again back to 3.1.2.

Everytime I do it, it wont hacktivate my phone. it says the sim isnt valid. I've just rolled it back to 3.1.2 and have that working again but cant get to 4.1
Any ideas?

What are people's impressions of iOS4.1 performance on iPhone 3G? I had upgraded to 4.0 when jailbreaks became available but ended up rolling back because the performance was so bad. Supposedly 4.1 made things better. Is that really true?

Yep you should be able to. There is a tool on the site called f0rcast that will tell you if your iPhone can be jailbroke. Good luck to ya!

This really sucks! I have 05.14.02 modem firmware! So that means that Snowbreeze will not be able to unlock my iphone 3gs? Is there anyway I can downgrade my modem firmware to what is needed? If not this really really sucks! Guess I may have to wait for shatter to be released! I was looking forward to this for awhile now! What's waiting a little bit longer gonna hurt! LOL! Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

So how would one go about downgrading their firmware to what is needed to use snowbreeze and ultrasnow? Would I be able to do that after already upgrading to ios 4.1 and having my firmware upgraded to 05.14.02? Or was Apple smart in doing that and I am unable to downgrade to use this jailbreak? Any info preferably step by step instructions on how to do this either through my iphone or through itunes would be very helpful! Also when itunes backs up your iphone where can you find these files in itunes or your computer? Thanks.

i get that. if you read above the list it denotes devices that will require SHAtter.
•iPhone 4 (When SHAtter exploit is released.)
•iPod Touch 4 — (When SHAtter exploit is released.)

•iPad — (When SHAtter exploit is released.)

this isnt mentioned for the ipt3g.
•iPod Touch 3G — Requires you to be on 3.1.2
