I used jailbreakme and spirit to jailbreak my 3Gs. So I'm sort of confused. I'm on the old bootrom I believe. F0rcast just said it was jailbreakable with jailbreak me and such. My Model # starts with MB and I saw someone said that means old bootrom. Not sure. Anyhow, according to what it's saying..I need to use Spirit2pwn to jailbreak on 4.1...even though spirit2pwn is supposedly not by the author that did spirit and could be "false" even though it worked for a few readers.
So just a little confused. Should I just wait it out for something from the spirit author? Wait for SHatter? Go ahead with the sn0wBreeze? Running 4.0.1 firmware, and not worried about "Unlocking" just jailbreaking

Good jailbreak!! After using ireb, iphone booted correctly, 4.1 makes iphone run as fast as it was running on 3.1.3. only problem so far that i cant connect to itunes 10 anyone got a suggestion for that?

hey do u have 3gs. i just completed restore on my 3gs old boot rom n it didnt activate n is stuck on emergency screen. i checked the activate option while creating customipsw. any clue wat went wrong/

It is a tethered jailbreak for all the devices that have a new bootrom and need to be on iPhone OS 3.1.2 to jailbreak them.
It is untethered for the remaining devices.

Why does my mc iPod touch 2g need to be on 3.1.2?? It's got 4.1 FW cuz stupid me updated it and now i can't downgrade it or restore it to the one that saves on desktop that Snowbreeze 2 creates...can someone please help me out or tell me what to do or wait for...it would be greatly appreciated..thanks

Is it downgradeable to 3.1.3? I'm on that right now with my 3G, afraid that my iphone would be slow again on 4.0 :)

No i have an iphone 3G, try downloading ireb from the ih8snow website en see if you can kick it out of recovery mode. If this doesnt work maybe you can try recboot, google this maybe it wil be of any help.

i couldnt get it to work just kept timing out for me and stuck me in recovery mode so i had to restore to apples ispw 4.1

wut u need to do is...
1:build ur ipsw with snowbreeze
2:use ireb to boot ur phone into the snowflake dfu mode screen.
once its booted to the right screen it will tell u that its ready for jailbreak...
3.u then go to itunes and hold shift and select ur custom prebuilt ipsw -
even if i have the new ispw 4.1 with new basband it will still jailbreak?

Hey guys, there is a glitch in snowbreeze that does not allow you to activate it. Went on the forums and found a hack to fix it. You have to manually log in to the iPhone via USB and change some files. They are probably going to release an updated version in a few days to fix the glitch but for now don't upgrade until its fixed or you can end up with the "iTunes screen of death"

IF YOU RELY ON UNLOCK DON'T TRY THIS. hacktivation patch from pushfix.info does not support 4.1. if you change sim it will apear sim not supported. i had to downgrade to 4.0.1.

I am getting 1600 error on Windows, when I used the IPSW on Mac OS I get 1604… have 3GS 4.1 no previous jailbreak. Had such high hopes!!
I used f0recast to get my Baseband and it’s 05.14.02, I also had upgraded to 4.1 and never jailbreaked this 3GS before. I recently jailbroke an Iphone 3G, that worked so well I want to jailbreak mine as well. What does 1600 or 1604 mean? F0recast said that my phone should be jailbreakable, but it’s just not working, why do we need to use iTunes to restore, obviously Apple has built in errors for this reason. Would be cool if we could restore with a jailbreaker software instead.Anybody with 05.14.02 baseband used this and worked? Any ideas? Can I even downgrade?

WAAAWO , I am in a big treble and hope that I did not lose my iPhone 3Gs -3.1.2 (old bootrom).
I plan to do what has been side ,So I did go to cydia and install Spirit2Pwn from http://repo.woowiz.net. It went OK but all of a sudden the iphone just went totally dead. I try to restore back to 3.1.2 via pwnagtool because when I connect the phone to iTone it was detected and got the message "iPhone in recovery mood you have to restore". I made a custem IPSW and try to restore it did not work and got Error 1600.

I think you guys are restoring the custom firmware with iTunes 10. Try it with iTunes 9.2. Seems like Sn0wbreeze's [H]Activate doesn't work with iTunes 10.
To remove iTunes 10 properly before installing 9.2 uninstall in the following sequence:
- iTunes 10
- Apple Mobile Device Support
- Apple Application Support
- Apple Software UpdateIf you get "Error 0xE8000065" :
Power off iPhone
Load iTunes
Now plug in USB and wait till iPhone boots.
If no luck, restart phone again while plugged in.
