This is bull.. Geohot came out with one for windows 2 days ago working only on windows and now the dev team bring out this also only working on windows, What the hell happen to mac users. F

The official greenpoios0n is essentialy just a bug free version of what geohot was already offering. Mac will be out eventually.
However you are allowed to JB your iPhone with a PC even if your iPhone is formatted for mac. The JB will make no changes except for the Jailbreak, you don't need to restore or anything
Just saying, you may consider that if you're around a PC at all today.

Good point. You can wait for the MAC version or find a PC (any PC), download greenpois0n and jailbreak your phone. I suggest backup on your MAC first, the jailbreak on a PC and you're DONE. Simple enough.

Greenpois0n is a very malicious virus, it will steal all your bank account information, identity and every Coldplay song on to your phone. It's terrible!!

i've tried parallels and had zero luck. even disconnected and reconnected my phone - connected it to Windows when it asked instead of mac. no joy

Will this work on OutoftheBox (New Iphone4), that comes pre-installed with IOS 4.1? If so can we also unlock it? Looks like we need to have older version of Iphone 4 IOS Version to be able to jailbreak and then upgrade to IOS 4.1.

It's because Macs aren't real computers, they are for computer illiterate people who need things kept simple. It's like painting by numbers.
Or to be serious for a second, stop moaning, it's usually the other way round with the Mac versions coming out first.

This isn't interesting for me anymore. I have my iOS 4.1 on 3GS up and running jailbroken with Limera1n.
I have to say I am disappointed. I thought this will come with unlock possibility to uplift the image of the dev-team. I don't understand why everybody is blaming Geohot... when he in fact he brought light into the game and offered us freedom b4 dev-team.
This guy is a genius and should to be given his due respect.
No one should get me wrong! I respect and admire the work the dev-team is doing. All of these guys are awesome. I am grateful for the hard work but let us welcome Geohot back big time!

I used Limerain to JB my brand new iPhone 4 4.1 without a hitch using beta3. Since this is based on Limerain's hack, then yes you should have not issues what so ever..
BUT... You currently cannot UNLOCK an iPhone 4 with the latest baseband. Nothing is currently available to do so..

Wow MS Fanboi much? I am a Mac user and at least 80% of the students at my university use a Mac. You kid would fail in business. People want everything simple. Why don't you keep on using DOS while the world uses Win 7 and Mac OS X.

Need i say, Some of us don't use windows at home or work. I have used parallel and VMware in the past but not anymore because i don't have that much memory and space. Besides i can count the number of times i used it so there is no point.
No big deal though because personally, i'm not missing anything
