Awesome! The whole process took me less than 10 minutes. Those running on IOS 5.0, please update it to 5.0.1 otherwise your device would not be detected by the jailbreak software.

Found out that resetting all settings worked for me. I Just went through the whole process again and it worked. The manual says that when running it again, one should delete the existing VPN settings. Could not really figure out how to do that as when clicking on the blue arrow, nothing happens. Anyway, it worked...Thank you to everyone who was involved in making this possible. Looking forward to exploring lots of new functions on the ipad 2 soon.kuck

Jailbreaking my iPad 2 (GSM) with Absinthe just took less than 5 min even counting the launching Absinthe on my iPad and getting cydia............... I am very HappyThanks @pod2g, @MuscleNerd @saurik @planetbeing and others for working out for this jailbreak.Thanks to iphonehacks for giving step by step guide to do the jailbreak.

Hi all, ive followed the steps and all works fine up to the point where I am asked to tap the jailbreak button. When I unlock the ipad there is only an absinthe icon and no jailbreak icon. I've restored to factory default and tried again but still the same issue. What am i doing wrong?

Finally managed to JB successfully.Sent it to recovery mode, installed clean 5.0.1, no wi-fi settings. Opened Absinthe, rebooted, opened Cydia, it asked for connection - only then added home wi-fi network, added source and installed Appsynch and ****. After a reboot (~1min) connected with iTunes, restored from local copy, and everything works great now. I hope my jailbroken iPad runs smooth and glitchless.Thank you very much! Donation soon.

Ok I ignored the fact there is no jailbreak button and just clicked absinthe, cydia then appeared so all looks good. Thanks, superb as always.

guys Absynth does not recognize my ipad 2, running iTunes 10.5.3.3 and iOs 5.0, doing the update to 5.0.1 now, ill keep u posted if this solves the problem

the botton Jailbreak is always inactive and i run as administrator. the program does not detect the ipad2 any idea?

Works wonderfully and smooth!Took less than 5min to Jailbreak an iPad2 GSM!If you are having problems with the whole process taking a lot of time, try erasing your device (after having done a back-up of course) and running the JB on a clean install. Since it relies on data moving, the more data on device the longer and heavier the process will be.Happy Jailbreaking!

tnx iVic upadte detected my ipad 2 after cleaning my ipad 2 and configured it as a new deviceso recap run on itunes 10.5.3.3 update ios to 5.0.1 and do a clean install

Hi all i'm trying to JB my ipad2 but i get to the "preparing Jailbreak data" step and then i get message "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" I have tried numerous times and still getting this message. Vpn is off running windows 7 please help!.... thanks in advance.

I`m having problems jailbreaking my iPad 2,First, the was never any "jailbreak" button on my homescreen, the guide said it should be an jailbreak button but i didn`t find any on my iPad 2..Second, when i try to tap the "absinthe" button on homescreen i get stuck at "absinthe is now settings things up, please stand by"..a lot of people appears to have the same problem but but i can`t find any solution to this, please help?

I jailbreaked my ipad 2 (gsm) and now i tried to add a source and every time that i tried this it tells me: you requst timed out... Something like that and now i cant add any source should i rejailbreak???? Please help...

I run Absinthe (as administrator) it goes straight to the Beginning Jailbreak screen, the notification bar goes about 10% along and then just sits there, I've tried this three or four times now, reset the iphone and the iphone network settings all to no avail, is this overloaded servers or something else?

To get Absinthe to work I had to do these steps: 1. Backup iPad2 2. Restore and set up as a new iPad2 3. Windows-JB with Absinthe 4. Restore from Backup...Cydia works and all my apps are restored.Dream Team, hurray! -
OK I have just jailbroken my iPad 2 , when i click on cydia it says Network Error "Unable to Load (The request timed out.)any solution ???tnx to all ... :)
