yea, i was having problems with absinthe freezing up and then when i unplugged and tried again kept getting the "looks like you tried to jailbreak and failed, trying to recover and fix now...etc.." Definite fix to this is to back up your ipad2, restore it as a new ipad2, jailbreak with absinthe and then restore the back up and viola!

I have my iPad2 jailbroken and have no problems. I was just wondering if I need to install from Cydia "PDF Patcher 2" or not. Thanks.

Dude try to download any programs from cydia and after that press respring then your white icons will gone hope it helps

So I jailbroke my iPad 2, after about 5 tries. Worked flawlessly after those 5, but, well the Music app's icon is white. I've seen other comments about this, and so I tried restarting it, which would respring it (right? don't have any jailbroken apps yet), but this did nothing. Is there anything I can do?

Hi,A few days ago I jailbreak (5.0.1.) my iPad 2 (white) which I bought half year ago. Worked without a trouble, I installed a lot of software on it and some things which modify the Springboard. After I installed retinapad my iPad restarted and stopped on the apple logo. It does not start since then. I can turn off pressing the Home + Sleep buttons, I can put it to DFU mode, the iTunes can reach it, but the recovery does not run down, the iTunes runs onto the undermentioned error message: "The iPad notcan be poured. A unknown mistake occurred (21)."PLEASE HELP ME!Thank you very much.

Jailbroken my iPad2 in 5 minutes flat... that was fast! Resetting your device to factory setting does the trick for the speed. One thing is certain - after I restored my backup, I lost some important apps that I enjoyed using. I figured my iTunes did not backup those that I installed unthetered. I'll just re-install them, oh this will take time.

Hi, I've done everything that was told step by step and i also read all your comments. I d/l the version 0.3 and it went well till the 'preparing jailbreak data...do not touch your device yet!'then after a minute or so it pops out another window saying 'absinthe.exe has stopped working' Anyone facing the same problem? If there are, any way to solve this? In a rut. Been doing this for the whole afternoon.

hey..evrything was going gr8.but when i pressed absinthe button on home screen and then jailbreak it was restarting but stuck on the waiting mode, now i restarted my ipad2 wifi+3g but it stuck on apple logo..please tell me what to do..thanks in advance:)

Worked smooth for me. Less than 10 minutes. Steps to follow,1. Take backup of your ipad 22. Restore to factory settings from Itunes.3. Follow the Jailbreak steps4. Once done, Connect Ipad back to itunes and restore from previous back up to get all your apps and files back.

Hi I jailbreak ipad2 by as a clean firmware update....now i try to install the cracked ipa's...i got "Itunes failed to sync" error, i tried to install through itunes and i even tried to install app through "FUNBOX"....pls advice...thank you in advance...

Mine is done in five minutes thanks for once again defeating the monopolist Apple. For the people facing problems please install the absinthe in administrator mode and run it in admin mode as well. Thanks again it's a wonderful and job well done.
