I agree with Chris. How could you tell us to pwn 1.1.4 when we've already updraded to 2.0. Makes no sense!

you dont have to pwn or neuter it. i just plugged it in my itunes, hold **** and clicked restore, selected the 2.0 custom firmware and thats it everything was done by itself. you dont even have to put it in resotre mode or anything. everything is backed up, except for notes.

Last step...Where I am in iTunes and select the downloaded 2.0 ipsw... iTunes crashes and says "Unknown Error 13" and my phone becomes a brick....Anyone know how to help me?

It Worked 100% for me. I had iPhone on 1.1.4 Unlocked with ZiPhone with BL 3.9.The WinPWN site was down so I just did a search on Google with:
winpwn_1003_RC1_Setup.zipAt first I mixed up the process by doing Step 2 and 3 and then did Step 1. The I jumped to Step 4 and onwards.
The whole process plus the downloads took me about an hour.
Thank you VERY MUCH for the great Tutorial. Just couln't wait for the WinPWN 2.0
One more Happy iPhone owner in Bulgaria.
P.S. Accually the Mail.app did crash on loading but that's the only thing. I cannot delete the GMail account in the setting either. But that's the only thing

I tried to open-ssh into the phone and that worked. I got the Installer.zip and put that in the applications folder. Restarted the phone and now i have the installer icon but when I start it, it just loads the white page and restarts. I think that the problem is that I am missing the other files that are needed to run installer.

I already had an unlocked/jailbroken 1.1.4 2G iPhone. Didn't need to rePWN it, so just Neuter'ed it @ 3.9 Bootlated using BootNeuter 1.0 from the Installer.
Upgraded to iTunes 7.7, shift-Restored to custom 2.0 IPSW... BootNeuter 2.0 just came up and it says it's Flashing Baseband.
Just got done, says successful, rebooting....
I see App Store, Cydia and T-Mobile all on the same page. Looking good :)

Hi. I saw "iPhoneHacks" solution for people who are already running the 2.0 on a 1st gen iPhone, but it appears it is for mac's only. Could someone please post a way to do it via Windows?
Just to clairify, I had a 1.1.4 iPhone that was unlocked and jailbreaked. I upgraded it to 2.0 (with no trouble). Now I would like to at least unlock it. I am in Taiwan this week and would really like to use my TW SIM card.

This post is a workaround for Windows users to pwn their first generation iPhone running firmware 2.0, Mac users can simply use the Pwnage Tool which the iPhone Dev Team has released.

Worked for me on my 16gb iPhone. I had updated to 2.0. So I downgraded and followed this guide using the provided links and it has worked for me 100%.

I already have a jailbroken and unlocked 1.14 2G phone (using first release of Pwnage tool on mac). Can I download the the 2.0 modified IPSW file and restore with itunes 7.7?
I am guessing I don't first need to upgrade to official 2.0 and then run the Pwnage 2.0 tool?
