i have just made it with windows.. after several days!!(i was stupid enough to update to 2.0 the day it was relesed)
#1 first i deleted itunes 7.7(remember to rename the folder "itunes" in the folder "music" after delete, or you wil get the mesage that itunes is installed in and newer version)and then i installed 7.5
#2 then i downloadet the 1.1.4 firmware and installed it in itunes (shift+Reboot) you will get the error mesage (1601) just ignore it! an turn off itunes
#3 use ibrick to turn your iphone out of recovery mode.
#4 i know people don't like ziphone, but i used it anyway, in step 1? (jailbreak, unlock and activate)
#5 now update installer and install bootneuter. i ignored step 3?
an then just follow the wellmade guide!!hope it could help :D

Steps worked flawlessly.
Not sure why anyone would want to do this... I had a ton of great apps on 1.1.4 especially the video recorder. Now I have ZERO apps on 2.0. Basically my phone looks like 1.1.4 when I bought it. Why the heck did I upgrade to 2.0???

This tool makes you have app store and installer; butit also let you use the phone with another carrier? Telcel at Mexico, T-Mobile?

help, i downgraded to 1.1.4 but when i ran boot neuter it gave me error 5 because i have the upraded baseband. can i go on and restore to my custom 2.0 firmware (via mac) and run boot neuter then or do I need to do it all through a mac instead?

When using itunes to upload the custom ipsw file, it sits on "preparing iphone for restore", then i get an error code. What am i doing wrong? can anyone help?

Followed this guide and everything worked fine!
IMO > For the uber novice, the Bootneuter steps could do with a little more info, ie which baseband to select etc..
but other than that, a working guide.

Unfortunately, I upgraded my iphone to 2.0 before reading this article. It seems that I can only use a mac book to jailbreak my iphone now. I can't even restore the firmware back to 1.1.4 now.

had a 1200 error in itunes 1st time trying to load 2.0 ispw, retryed and worked perfect...I am resyncing everything now :D
also...insted of Ziphone, try iLiberty...alot more simplistic interface

I'm on firmware 2.0 and when I use winpwn 1.0 on windows, I browse for the 1.1.4 firmware ispw then then open it and everything. It asks me to put the phone in recovery mode, I do that and then nothing happens. It just sits there. What is wrong please help

I upgraded my Version 1 iphone to version 2 but now can only make emergency calls. I am running windows. Seems the instructions you gave are for the mac.

I have a queston. while following these instructions, i realized that boot nueter is only for 1.1.4. i have 1.1.3. do i have to upgrade to 1.1.4 before upgrading to 2.0 and if i do, can i get help in how to upgrade to 1.1.4
