i have an iphone 4s 5.1.1 and just tried about 10 times and no luck, and im sure we wont get an answer either

Tried an iPad 2 with iOS 5.1.1 and an iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1.1 using the Windows version of Absinthe. The 4S works but not the iPad... strange :S

Not working for me either. I'm getting the same issue of the progress bar gets about 3/4 of the way through, hangs for a few minutes, then tells me "Something went wrong" and goes into a recovery. Then I see Recovery is complete, and if I want to retry, I should unplug and plug back in my phone.I tweeted pod2g about it. I doubt I get a reply, just in general, and I'm sure he's getting flooded with tweets and/or texts. I waited to buy the iPhone4S until it could have an untethered jailbreak, so now I'm twisting a bit until I can jailbreak it.

Guys if the links arent working just keep refreshing etc, it worked after about 3rd refresh for me

yes i get the same problem it recovers and tells me to try again i have done everything backed up and resetted everything what is wrong ?

i got iphone 4s 5.1.1in the middle of jailbreaking...it said "sometin gone wrong" then recovered...someone plzz help me..:(

Won't the Gevey tool work to unlock now?

Resolved. Restore firmware using itunes. Once the restore has completed - close itunes and skip all settings on the phone till you're back to the home screen (in other words - reactivate). You should be good to go!

First time i backup and update via iTunes and erase everything in iPhone (followed readme.txt), after all no lucky with jailbreak, no cydia appears on iPhone. 2nd time. After that i try to RESTORE in iTunes and then activating and jailbreak with Absinthe! Everything went FINE and now i have jailbroken and with CYDIA! :)My suggest: try to RESTORE clear iPhone, boot up and activate, then try to jailbreak and u will see "Done, enjoy!" ;) Good luck.

ok, took 2 tries on my iphone 4, I was on 5.0.1 jailbroken untethered. Updated to 5.1.1 via itunes, let it sync, then ran absinthe. I did NOT reset data. First try gave me a "could not connect to lockdownd" error. Second try worked fine. Sorry some people are having problems, but my ipad 2 gsm and iphone 4 are working fine with absinthe 2.0.
