if we already changed the root password in version 5.0.1, do we need to change it again after the new update?

I jailbroke my iphone 4 on ios 5.1.1 yesterday, but had to restore it real quick bc i needed to change some info. Anyway, after thge restore, i jailbroke it again. And again from my stupidity, had to do something that involved restoring it. SO, this morning, I tried to jailbreak agian, and it says that my device isnt compatible with the jailbreak.. But it was the last two times?Ive restored it, its on VERSION 5.1.1, FIRMWARE 4.12.01Just like it was last time.. But it wont let me jailbreakk... Does ANYONE know why? No one seems to be able to help :/

Restoring like a new phone (factory restore, NOT from back-up) worked for me like it has for others.

CRUCIAL NOTE FOR EVERYONE WANTING TO JAILBREAK:I just fixed my iphone so it can be jailbroken. In doing this, I found out that the jailbreak DOESNT work with IOD 5.1.1 Build 208. ONLY on 206 does it work. If you restore your phone, apple updates it to 208 (or 209, watever it is).So you need to google ios 5.1.1 build 206, download it, then go to iTunes, hold shift, click restore, then select the build you downloaded. Then the JB will work :)Please share this with other users having problems. Thanks

I need help After i extract it and go into the folder i see an application with the name "absinthe" instead of "absinthe.exe."And when try to jailbreak my ipad 2 it doesn't detect it

I'm using an overseas phone which very much depend on ultrasnow. I was hoping to install ultrasnow through cydia after jailbreak my iphone 3GS on ios 5.1.1. My question is is there a lock screen or 'emergency call' screen which i can't access cydia after jailbreaking with Absinthe 2.0

Hi Love this i updated to 5.1 by mistake so have been waiting for this to come out so happy. It works perfectly on Iphone 4. But my sister just tried to jailbreak her 3gs and when she opens cydia it crashes and she looses everything. and she get an error message saying unsupported URL any ideas how she can resolve this. Thanks Tracey
