I TRIED ALL THE STEPS... AND AFTER JAILBREAKING... I RESTORED FROM MY BACK UP.... BUT CYDIA IS MISSING. ANYONE ONE WHO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM? ANY SOLUTIONS?

Just did the same thing and it worked!! Thanks.The instructions should be changed to do a full backup, then do a full restore, including the firmware (instead of just resetting the phone). Activate and then jailbreak.

When I plug in and get ready to jailbreak it says iphone3, but I have an iPhone4?? will not not jailbreak ?? LOST.

SOLUTION!!!!!!! GUYS i had the same exact problem with that recovery BULLSHIT but restore your iphone from ITUNES do not do the reset all settings from iphone. After you restore activate your phone and jailbreak it should work. worked for me! goodluck

I tried this jailbreak with iphone 4 with IOS 5.1.1 after sometime it says something gone wrong and rolled back. I'm using windows. whats happening? tried several times.

i just updated my phone using itunes and the ticket was save i also have a copy is safe to upgrade if you have a copy of lockdown folder

Had the same issue (iPad3, Verizon LTE running MAC version). It would fail the JB and do the Recovery... I did a Reset Everything and did a quick Activation. Still would always Fail.I did get it to apply the JB by doing the following....1. iTunes running, iPad USB plugged in and Powered Off the iPad.2. Disconnect USB cable.3. Hold the Home Button down on the iPad and plug the USB cable in.4. This should force the unit into Recovery mode where it re-downloads IOS 5.1.1 and reloads it clean to the iPad.5. After Recovery Mode is complete. Rerun the Absinthe App and Jailbreak.(It worked the first time clean after this process).

just download Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 from Cydia.

Solution to all having problems with the "Hmm it seems like something have gone wrong" or "retry jailbreak..."Restore to factory default within iTunes, and then try the jailbreak again. Works like a charm

Iphone 4s 5.1.1. tried 5 times don’t work. erased all content , disabled lock screen and sim pin. after all done I don’t see cydia icon on home screen . what am i missing? I see others on here posting the same issue.

Just do a restore back to 5.1.1 and try to jailbreak again,it works for me...it's mentioned in the site

Jailbreak was successful but when i try to download anything in cydia it just says Note: Cannot Locate Package. What do i do?
