Run Limera1n as AdminHad to reboot in between installing both Limera1n and Cydia. Works like a charm.
Finally we get Winterboard on our iPhone 4's with 4.1 pre-installed

Once u r on 4.1 u can't unlock until they release the 4.1 unlock so just jailbreak there's nothing else you can do

I had successfully installed limera1n on my iphone 4 version 4.0.2 and then installed cydia. But when I put my sim in the phone emergency call screen appeared again. Please help me to jailbreak my phone.

Stupid even if they release Greenpois0n u can not unlock your phone if u upgrade to 4.1 from iTunes. Greenpois0n is just for jailbreaking and same for limera1n.. Do you even know what you talking about or what your doing? I jailbreak my iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 save my baseband to tiny umbrella and it's unlocked with software 4.1 it's not buggy.

use tiny u b to restore make sure tss is runing restore to 41 it wont update B B only on iphone 4

Thanx Limera1n, jb 3gs 4.1 5.14.2 MC model successfully.
For some people this doesnt work because they forget to let go of home button when it "dfu mode wait" comes up.
please some1 answer this
on this device its first time jb nw, because shsh exists on cydia now, can i downgrade to 4.0.1 and then jb via jailbreakme followed by unlock via repo666thanks in advance

listen ****-greenpoison and shatter is a jailbreak for life and is basically intended for the devices with the new apple a4 processors,for people who have those devices like myselfyes I do know what I'm talkin bout I wanna a jailbreak for life not temporarily and it was a douce bag move for him to release it the sometime dev-team did alot of work towards this and if u read there blog they are not happy bout limerain either.

Works like a charm on iPhone 4 4.1 firmware..install cydia and reboot..doesn't get much easier than that compared to the old days :)

im a mac guy but i needed the JB for 4.1 and i used my other windows computer and i forgot i needed to update itunes

Geohot.. U R The Man as stated above.. Could not be any easier... Brand new iPhone 4 with 4.1 pre-installed (just got a little over a week ago).. Following the instructions above worked perfect first time. As stated, had to reboot to see Cydia...
Now I can get my SBSettings back..

Cydia doesnt install tried it many times and reran the jail break, IPhone 4 on 4.1. Any ideas?
Imediately after JB insatlls phone turns off by itself and Limera icon is there, launch it to download and install cydia all looks well except after reeboot no icon. -
Why don't we just thank Geohot for releasing the tool and them work out their differences - the community has their jailbreak just be grateful

for people whi have problem with limerain on iphone 3gs or iphone 4 maybe... i had enough jailbreaking my iphone with no success (more than 100 times) finally i figured out the problem was coming from itunes 10 i downgraded to itune 9.2.2 and i succefully jailbreak my iphone from the first time please try and let me know -
From the UK! Worked first time on iphone 3gs on 4.0.2 and new bootrom. Cydia installed straight away
Then used ultrasn0w to unlock the phone (baseband 5.13.04) on to all networks! -
Hold down the power button, slide to turn off.. After black, turn back on, Cydia should be there.. Let us know how you make out
