Try a reset (hold down power button and home button until phone shuts off). If this doesn't work its likely you will need to restore and try your jailbreak again. How long do you let it hang at the Apple logo? It can take some time to boot up the first time after a jailbreak. I did all this step on my iphone 3gs running ios 3.1.1 and freeze. all i got is apple logo and cant even restore. please help

Yeah, me too - same situation. iPhone 4, ios 4.0.2, bb 01.59.00. This worked before - I used to have a Limera1n icon and a Cydia icon on this phone, before I restored it (using signed custom IPSW created with Sn0wbreeze). Any ideas for why this might not be loading properly?

Miracle! It worked! I just rebooted and (after Windows performed SIXTEEN updates for me), restarted my phone, and tried again - it worked like a charm. :) THANK YOU for the very detailed directions!
