Hello,I currently have an iphone 4, running 4.0.1 baseband 01.59.00 jailbroken and unlocked using tmobile. I want to upgrade to the 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak and unlock. How do I go about unlocking it after using absinthe 2.0 to jailbreak?

Same thing happened to me. I did a backup. Then complete restore in iTunes. Then run Absinthe again. Worked Perfectly.

I did it on the first attempt and it worked! This has got to be the best thing to wake up to, seeing "Absinthe 2.0 Released!"

All of you getting “Something seems to have gone wrong…trying to recover.”just restore from itunes, activate without itunes (via the iphone itself) and jailbreak.afterwards you can restore from your backup.

Cydia servers must be taking a beating i keep getting internal 500 server probs, in red every now and again but when i do it the 2nd time it works

I'm having also hardtime getting windows to JB my 4S. Updated 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 with iTunes, wiped iphone, activated, JB sent recovery data but after reboot JB stuck on 3/4 and eventually Absinthe deleted JB data and asked to try again. I tried a couple of wipes, but no luck.I recovered iphone from backup back to fully installed 5.1.1 and tried JB again. Now my 4S got stuck to 1/4 when Absinthe tried to send initial JB-data, and eventually gave error "Can not lockdwn" or simply just crashed. So, I start wait Absinthe 2.1 for my 4S. :(

absinthe 2.0 will not preserve old baseband. don't even try. wait for redsnow if you care for your baseband.

Peeps... backup your phone via iTunes.. dump your blobs, restore the phone using iTunes so it's a totally clean device and running 5.1.1... use Absinthe 2.0.. it will JB it properly for you.Just done two 3GS and now starting on my iPad 2.

I finally got it to work by going to Absinthe website. but my cydia isn't working. i can see everything but can't install anything.

So I got the jailbreak to work and now my phone is running like **** also nothin on cydia is working I try downloading things and I get server error????

After 10+ attempts & restoring my iphone (erasing all data), still no sign of cydia.Windows 7iphone 4I even tried putting absinthe in Windows XP compatibility mode...

Guess what, you need to do a restore to 5.1.1 then run absinthe.First Try:- 4S was on 5.0.1- Upgraded to 5.1.1 OTA- Ran Absinthe- No goSecond Try:- Backed up 4S with iTunes- Manually restored with iTunes (you need to DL the 5.1.1 ipsw)- Restored to 5.1.1- Ran Absinthe- Jailbroken!- Restore everything with iTunes*** DOES NOT WORK ON 5.1.1 UPGRADED OTA (Over-The-Air) ***

Hy plz reply me i had purchased brand new iphone 4s in march on ios 5.0.1 when i came bck to home after purchasing i accedantly updte it on ios 5.1 on tht day without jailbreak it on ios 5.0.1 & nw i wnt to jailbreak it on 5.1.1 i knw tht abstine 2.0 works only on ios 5.1.1 so i hv to upgrade my iphne to 5.1.1 can i jalbreak my iphne with abstine 2.0 & can i updte my basebnd? there is no need to wait for releasing redsnow?? bcz u mensiomn tht of ultrasnw unlck as i also said that i purchsd my iphne brnd new (factry unlckd)? plz plz reply me i m waitingReply

I deleted all the files I downloaded and opened that was used in absinthe 2.0 and then re-downloaded from a different source and all is good!

You have to right click the mouse button on absinthe 2.0 and run as an administrator, it does work

My wifes phone UPGRADED, i used wireless network not 3g as you can imagine some servers are taking a battery today and in this heat but went to latest firmware pretty quickly!!!!

Having the same problem as john, sticks at "waiting for process to complete." then returns with "Recovery completed. If you want to retry jailbreaking, unplug your device and plug it back in."

Follow the steps mentioned in update 2, it should work.

Jailbreak successful if I follow the instruction for update 1. After I update to 5.1.1, I did a restore from my backup and jailbreak successful.
