Just to confirm - this works on 6.1.3 as well.
My situation was iTunes returning the 'Your Device is Faulty Contact Your Apple Store' on Refresh or Restore.
Redsn0w had Missing .plist data for this build when 6.0 or 6.1.3 was used as the IPSW.
The Applications folder is on mnt2 under var/stash -
Works on 7.0.3 as well - you just need to traverse the directories.

Whatever you type will be going into PuTTY, it just isn't being 'echoed' on the screen. I can't remember how to fix that off the top of my head but try typing in pwd and hitting return once you've opened the PuTTY session. Even though you can't see it, the command should be sent. /Sarah

Hello Cheikh Shift, thanks for the post! I seem to be having problem opening the java application after I downloaded I tried to open it via command prompt but can't seem to get it to work. Any idea what I need to do to get the java application to run?

Alright! I figured out how to get the java application to run but now im having the following issue: ( Ignoring unsupported device UNSUPPORTED) in other notes im running ios 7.0.3 on an ipad mini. Is it possible with this solution?

ok, to solve previous issue
type = mount.sh mnt1
then you will be able to go to
cd /mnt1/Applications
and proceed to delete the Setup.app
The problem now its that I have No Service on my phone.

Ok I tried this on my old Iphone 4 32GB europe version, Everything worked FINE.
When I run this on my Iphone 4S 16GB (asia version) I get error:
Connect a device in DFU mode
MobileDevice event: DfuConnect, 33b1227, 4008930
DFU device 'UNSUPPORTED' connected
Ignoring unsupported device UNSUPPORTED
MobileDevice event: DfuDisconnect, 33b1227, 4008930
MobileDevice event: MuxConnect, 0, 0
Has anyone got this to work on a Iphone 4S, also was yours a GSM or CDMA

How do yu delete setup.app? Did all the steps but stuck on this !! Help please

I was stuck forever on this.. Thought there was no hope.. Lemme solve you're problems (for those of you who cannot traverse the directories...)
Download a lovely little gem called WinSCP. Once you type mount.sh in putty open WinSCP, login, push up directory a couple of times and voila!! Now someone please figure out how we can use these with itunes after deleting things... PS, i went into the setup.app with winscp and just deleted a few things, works even more,but still unable to use w/ itunes :/ -
airplane mode, -> ok and then i should work. But good point on winscp, only reason why i mentioned puTTy is because winSCP is like installing a lot of useless stuff
